The new generation of the 911 Turbo is coming soon, the 992.2 generation of the Turbo is expected to be unveiled early September.

Rumors :

- Instead of a twin-turbo setup, the new Turbo S is rumored to feature a single, larger 3.8-liter "9A3" engine

There's no air outlet that's excessive or an inlet that's purely for aesthetics. Here, air and exhaust gases flow exactly where they're supposed to.

Now, take a close look at this prototype: it has four tailpipes. Two are in the center as usual, and it gets two more in the airflow-optimized diffuser. Directly behind those, there are two more openings. Perhaps for the wastegates? We also see two vents above the diffuser that likely serve an aerodynamic purpose, as do two grilled openings to the left and right of the license plate. Furthermore, Porsche is camouflaging the side air intakes on the rear wheel arch. All of these are clues that the rear area is undergoing a major redesign compared to the pre-facelift model (or, as Porsche calls it: a product upgrade). Why are we ruling out that this is a test mule for the GT2 RS? That car was already spotted in July, taking its significantly wider track for a spin around the Nürburgring Nordschleife for two laps. As we said: these are clues open to speculation, but the rumor mill at the Nürburgring is churning, and it's usually right the hotter it gets.
