3 Series (E90) [Official] BMW E92 Coupé/E93 Cabriolet 3-Series Facelift

The fifth generation of the BMW 3 Series range of compact executive cars is designated under the model codes E90 (saloon), E91 (estate, marketed as 'Touring'), E92 (coupé) and E93 (convertible). The model was produced by BMW until October 2013 and is often collectively referred to as the E90, E9x, or occasionally, the E92.
Nice ass, nicer then my wife's. :D (I mean my wife's car). I'm not sure about front, must see at the showroom.

What's wrong with those side mirrors?

Sorry but I prefer more those on the current model..:t-hands:

Awesome!!! A significant improvement on an already great-looking car! Five out of five possible stars!! :icondrool

REar is spot on..
But the front is a **** up..
With lights on it looks like a scared animal caught in the headlights..
And with the lights off it looks like a psycho stearing down somoeone in a bar..

Not good at all..

Interior is the same as before..but a nice refreshment..

I feel the front is a sincere amelioration, especially the now meaningful and powerful front bumper. Have they slightly squared off the kidneys?

Talk about your subtle updates. It's mighty fine but I don't really care for it... seems like some of the elegance and simplicity of the car has been scuttled. All in a all a much more minor update than the E46 generation, going from its scalloped to streamlined headlights.

Looks like I'll be adding a CPO 335i Cabrio to my possible future car list. If you're a current coupe/cab owner you must be happy about this one.

Blows my mind that it's already time for this facelift. Dang.

M3 LCI will be perfect - pre LCI front with probably white LED Angel eyes, LCI rear lights.

I like pre-LCI front more than LCI. This new lights looks too big and somehow it has "scared look." Rear lights are perfect. Thats good for current E92 owners, rear lights will be easy to replace.:usa7uh:

Question for Eni or Scott: How long this E92 LCI will be actual ? If next generation 3 sedan will be presented in 1 year, then I guess next gen. 3 Coupe will be presented in 2 years (end of 2011 / beginning 2012) ? Thanx

The headlights are looking a bit bigger than they should. Other than that the car is simply perfect, apart one minor detail. That thing between the gear stick and the central console really shouldn't be there. It messes with the elegance of the interior and looks out of place. It should have a lid.

It used to have a lid. It's the non-smokers package. I have it on my M3 with a lid.

So, the LED angel eyes are optional then.

I don't know why the headlights must look like that, it is VERY obvious they wanted to somehow make the headlights to be more "aligned" with the latest BMWs, especially that little kink thing at the bottom edge if anyone get what I mean. And this car did not need the eyebrows, and they somehow tried their best to implement it. I don't know but I think the smoothness is killed. The sedan LCI got some extra lines on the hood that matched the apparently more angular headlights (due to the eybrows in that case), but with this one, the hood is unmodified... hope it won't look any worse than the preFL IRL. The rear will surely look better though, but that's not surprising.

Basicly, with the front, they wanted to somehow make an Fxx car out of an Exx car, and the E92 wasn't meant to have the new styling details that F01/F07/F10 have, and because of that it looks a little bit off in those pics...

Anyways, the new M3 coupé will keep the same front but likely with LED lights, so all's good.

Also, I read this in the press release, but it was pretty much the first thing I noticed when I saw official pics of the LCI......the overhang on both sides has increased. And while it isn't quite visible on the backside, it's clearly visible that the front overhang has increased (and has become uglier because of that). 3cm is pretty noticable, sadly.

From the press release:

The front overhang is now 29 millimetres or 1.14”, the rear overhang 3 millimetres or 0.12” longer.

This klier says is what has been done by BMW. The E92 is a car that has not some of the styling cues that BMW is already using on the other cars of its portfolio, as the L-shape rearlights, the eyebrows, air intake without any body stripe part...

The problem is that the 3er Coupe was (and is) a very nice car the way it was, and any changes made would have turned the car to the worse. Iknew it since it noticed the new headlights shape on the spy pics, they´ve changed their shape to accomodate the eyesbrows, and the result is not as good as before. It´m not convinced with the new air intake at all, the chrome stripes or so so (as on the F10). In fact, the air intakes are the worst part of the new BMW´s front end (the same case than with the MBs). The rear looks just perfect to me, as does the side profile with the new side skirts.

Once again, what I fail to understand is the company policy with their engines. If I had to buy a 3er Coupe now, I could only consider the 35i because BMW has rulled out the 30i engine, so we can´t choose if we want a turbocharged engine or a NA one with more or less the same range of power (272hp vs 306hp), and now we have the 230 hp 328i.

Overall a really good looking car, but less special than we it came out in 2006.

The NA 3.0l 265 is gone ?!

According to the press release, it looks like it is gone, or they just don't mention it because it is still the same engine and nothing new.

But fantastic updates for the diesels: 320d with 184 hp! :eek2::eek2: With that power, there isn't any need for the big 6 cylinder versions any more and 204 hp with the 325d!!

The F10 520d has 184 hp too, so it's not new.
But an I6 has very different characteristics compared to an I4, so even with the same power they can supplement eachother...

The 272 hp 3.0 NA engine is probably gone because of the emmissions???
A shame, for sure.
