Hyundai Tucson and X1 look like if they would share the same platform. Sad to say that. But as BMW's minivans are aiming KIA design seems to be legit. The Tiguan has more premium presence and a great stance IRL.

Why do you think that it has the best tech?That looks like a very fun test for the journalists. I would love to drift a crossover through a muddy 90 degree turn!
Although these tests are useful in showing what cars can achieve on stock tyres, anyone who care about off-road performance would buy the smallest alloy size and get off-road alloy tyres.
My pick from the bunch would hands down be the Tiguan. It has the best tech and in R-Line spec is dropdead gorgeous and perfectly proportioned.

I thought you meant the drive train, where the Subaru is lighting years ahead of all the other cars in this test.Easy to use touch screen located where you can reach it and an option of a full digital display. The X1 is a good car but this one of the rare occasions when I prefer a VW over a BMW.
