Carwow actually did 750S vs 720S and in roll races (and some drag races once the tires warmed up - I am sure the video has been posted here), the 720S was actually faster. I didn't think much of it at the time, but now a pattern is starting to emerge. The 750S is actually slower than the 720S somehow.
We know that the 750S is (slightly) lighter, so it must be the engine power. I guess emission regs mean that the car doesn't quite make 750PS unless it's perfect conditions, while the 720S often makes more than 720PS even in mediocre conditions (which we've known for a long time).
