Since the G63 is officially gone for some time now.....open space available for a new toy (DD)

Starting price is very tempting for 510 hp / 700 Nm (RWD) AMG beast :drool: which is almost identical to AMG GT's hp/Nm.


Waiting for my dealers daimler configurator to come back online and see what is necessary to add and what's not.

Still trying to push them to lower the price. Imagine the depreciation on a Coupe AMG car the moment it leaves the showroom.

I might delay it, maybe even switch to a different brand if they insist on their final offer.

That's exactly my situation when I was contemplating a new M5 at the end of last year. The dealer didn't budge and I cooled on the idea since then even though the dealer did draw up a slightly better offer in march. I think I will now wait for the Porsche Taycan. The value of all AMG C63 & E63's and M5's will take a tumble when the Taycan arrives.
 
The C63S is my favorite small performance saloon, it gets the nod over both the Giulia QV and M3 due its brutal and intoxicating V8 and menacing looks. The way it drifts is truly exciting as well.

The V8 is very special. My immediate neighbour has an A45 AMG and another neighbour behind has an M4. However neither sound anything like the GLC63 that stopped at my house last week. At idle and under low acceleration it emits a note and resonance that no 6 cylinder with a pen after market exhaust can replicate.

I am actually smittened but would prefer the an E63 to an C63 - not because I want a larger car but because it looks better and the large engine suits the physical presence of the car.

This could very well be the last V8 C-Class.
 
There will most probably be another generation of V8 engined AMG and BMW M's. No more high performance internal combustion engines after that. Enjoy the next 10-12 years as the lights will go out for the internal combustion engine for most passenger cars.

The third generation battery powertrain will be nothing but awesome.

They better get used to get. 2019 Model year AMG's was the last opportunity to get a Mercedes with a throaty and commanding exhaust note.

I wouldn't be surprised is the next C-Class is powered by a 6 cylinder version of the 4pot in the new A45 AMG.

Wonder how the LCI E63S will sound tuners will have to find a way around OPF ...some good business coming their way.
 
This maybe is not a FL C63S coupe, but I thought as the mechanicals havent changed much this moose test will be appropriate to put here. As can be seen the C63 S coupe displays excellent chassis balance and grip with not much body roll either. Virtually no unwanted excessive understeer or oversteer.
