Am I the only one who doesn't like the looks of this car? I mean the rear and interior are fabulous and so is the sideprofile, but that front It looks just like the old one except for some ugly new leds on the bumper :S I'd much rather have the old, facelifted one thanks.

This is the most perfect and beautiful design I´ve seen in years.

How many lines does it have? almost none, and is still perfect. Some other Germans manufactures could learn some thing about this car.

That's design without decoration. Art Deco, not Baroque.


On the negative end of the scale, the 991 makes the Panamera look like a foul mishap, though it's worth stating that the Panamera faced the great wall of pragmatism. It's design had to allow for a fully usable rear cabin which is it's biggest handicap. The 911 has a big handicap too and that's the location of the engine, but its also the very reason why the car doesn't have a substitute.

It's a breathtakingly pure design and the only other recently launched car that matches it, is the Aston Martin Virage. An orange cabrio passed by when I was enjoying an espresso in Bergamo, Italy earlier this month. The Aston had a Cayenne Turbo with German plates trailing it. It was a test mule(Brembo have their factory in Bergamo), and the radiating copper orange did a fantastic job showing off how evolutionary designs can make a powerful impression.

I've expressed my opinion of the 991 previously - it's definitely a good looking car, in that Italian mid-engined sports car kind of way, but is it a good-looking 911? In my opinion, no.

The interior is extremely simple and concise. I almost feel like it's lacking in some luxury, but any more luxury in a 911 would probably be blasphemy I guess.
