I really don't like how the rear spoiler has been made body colour on the ST, where it's black on the CT. It extends the roofline and makes it look less sleek.

Comparing what I would order as a GTS to what I have actually ordered as a 4S

Agree, it makes the ST look too long. Hopefully easy fix.

Funny thing is, even 4S CT has painted rear spoiler as standard unless you get the optional black window trim.

I will probably end up painting mine gloss black like the Turbo S.

Yikes, I have seen the Turbo S, and IMO, the gloss black looks cheap and plasticky. Matte is much better.

I'm not quite sure how that would work out should the plastic arch extentions have a "grainy" surface.

I understand that your authorized dealer may be able to order primered, ungrained extentions from the factory and then arrange to have them painted and installed locally.

Good to know. I have not seen a Turbo S. And to be honest the matte arches have not bothered me on the two CT examples I have seen.

I'd love to see those rims configured as satin silver/anthracite bicolours-and the car itself in a darker, glossy metallic. To me, it would be something very close to perfection.

Please excuse my incessant fawning over the Taycan. But, along with the 992s' and Caymans, they are currently the only automobiles by a German manufacturer that I find genuinely, unconditionally compelling. Hopefully, "non-Porsche" German brands will be able to recapture my heart over the course of the next few years.

A bit, yes. Not that I no longer like it, but rather a case of it simply not having a sustainable sensory impact. Perhaps the eTron GTs' exterior design is "too busy" and its' instrument panel far less "modern" than that of the, for example, Taycan. The eTron GT remains a very visually attractive automobile in my eyes, but it simply has stopped "flooring me" upon my sighting one. But the "Taycan Magic" still works indeed.

Personally, I'm hoping that Audi lands a success with the upcoming production A6 eTron. It will occupy a segment that does not necessarily invade the Taycans' territory, being an upper-executive level 4 door, liftback sedoupe rather than a distinctly athletic "4 door sportscar". The concept car looks attractive, albeit a bit "pudgy" from some perspectives. Maybe Audi designers have "sharpened" the production version a bit. I reckon that we'll start seeing production-bodied prototypes within the course of the next 4-6 months.

For me AUDI has the brightest future of the big three. If the next A6 is close to its concept, than it will be head and shoulders above the EQE and the i5.

I'll reserve judgement regarding the i5 for now. However, it will probably be somewhat more compromised than the "genuinely dedicated" PPE-underpinned A6 eTron.

the Taycan being attractive is right sized wheel dependant, most of the ones I see have the 19” wheels which makes them look stupid.

Yes-the Taycan begs for, at least, the 20"-ers. The 21" versions are the charm. I recently sighted a Taycan with those 22" TechArt rims. Very eyecatching but maybe "a bit much". My current favorite is the 21" Cross Turismo slotted-5 spoke, satin silver/anthracite bicolour version. Unfortunately, not factory-fitted to the sedans as of yet.

Still far more sedans than Cross Turismos here in metro Hamburg, it appears. Of course, the sedan has been around a good bit longer. I suspect that the ratio will swing in favour of the Sport Turismo when all versions (base, 4S, Turbo, Turbo S) are available.

It's quite interesting to see just how different the two cars actually are. The Taycan is a genuine 4 door sportscar. The eTron GT, however, doesn't appear to be. It's a straight line Autobahn rocket and 4 door grand touring car. Both need some work in the range department.

I very much like the eTron GT. I love the Taycan.
