Having owned the 997 Gt3 mkII...I remember those times in which a Gt porsche was much more affordable than today..The next GT4 (I hope Rs) will fill that "price position" and will help people not capable to spend 180/190.0000 euro for the odiern Gt3 or 210/220.000 for the coming soon Rs, to dream again..

I have noticed the same unaffordability in the UK too. Used GT3s are very expensive and RS out of reach. 993 you say? Don't even think about it unless you want to settle for an undesirable tiptronic convertible.

I reached out to a big dealer in the Chicago area earlier today and all of their 2019 GT3 allocations Are spoke for! Clearly there is a demand for more and I’m not sure why porsche can’t make enough .

Same situation in the NYC area. And on top of that, previous GT owners get preferential treatment.

I test drove a 718 GTS manual last Saturday and can report the following... It goes like stink and sounds like crap. I had read previously that the new exhaust tone was a major issue but until you actually experience it first hand and contrast it to the 6 cyl, you will be confounded by Porsche's decision. I also can't believe that was the best they could do and would not be surprised to see the exhaust notes improved moving forward. Otherwise the car is delightful, very quick and extremely well balanced.

Right so we went to the Porsche dealer where we saw a 992 Cabrio and got floored. Trading in the GTS for a 992 cabrio delivery March.
