One thing that really impresses me is the quality and price. I'm comparing this to get as a company car for my uncle to the new e class 220d and price wise there's no comparison. Quality wise there's little. My uncle is getting a fully loaded T5 in the next month. Volvo really has a winner here. Only negative is the terrible sound of the diesel.
All the brands you mentioned are Danish.
Yes, and Denmark is part of Scandinavia.
Yes, and Denmark is part of Scandinavia.
Sweden and Norway aren't in the same ballpark as the Danes when it comes to hip, funky and cool design.
The prices are great aren't they? What would stop me from buying a new S90 or V90 are the engines. They haven't exactly been praised by the media.
But how does that stop them being Scandinavian design?
Because the Danes call it Danish design not Scandinavian design. I used to share the same opinion as most people, like you, until I met a designer for a very well know Danish lighting company, she put me straight very quickly.
From the Georg Jensen webpage.

You can look at any webpage for a Danish design company and I doubt you will see them mention Scandinavia at all, they are Danish and proud of it.
Put it this way is a 911 a German design or a European design? I think most of us would agree it's German.
I saw a S90 in this new blue colour on Dutch motorway this morning. Brief, but very clear the new S90. As far as I know, they aren't even in Dutch showrooms yet...?
