S90/V90 [Official] Volvo S90 Official first pics

The Volvo S90 is an executive sedan manufactured and marketed by Volvo Cars from 2016 to 2025. Its estate variant is the Volvo V90.
The S90 is my favourite non-German executive saloon.

In terms of exterior design, the S90/V90 as well as the Jaguar XF are my personal favorite "non-Germans". Both very well executed. But when it comes to the interior-the Volvo simply nails it !

Starting with the 2018 model year, all Volvo S90s sold in the States will be of the long-wheelbase variety, which are assembled in China, a market that prioritizes rear-seat accommodations. Volvo’s familiar 400-hp T8 Twin Engine plug-in-hybrid powertrain also is joining the lineup, sitting at the top of the range above the existing 250-hp T5 and 316-hp T6 choices.

Indeed, the S90 interior is "Waow":wthumb2:!
Keeping the white interior clean is another pair of shoes:)

Was in the area and finally made my way to the local Volvo dealer.

The S90 is so much more impressive in person than on my laptop screen. This car has presence without screaming at you. Sum of all its unique details, it one of the most unique 3-box designs out there. It's sleek, understated, premium, and confident.

The interior, especially in Inscription trim, is just superb. That walnut inlay is probably one of most authentic looking wood trim this side of a Rolls or Bentley. While the matte wood in MB and Audi looks nice in pictures, in person, it has a plasticky feel. I felt like one of those guys in that Audi A8 intro videos where they are touching the car. (BTW, this is where I expect you guys to make "Hoffmeister_fan playing with wood" jokes here.) The only complaint I'd have is that the top portion of the dash could be a bit more nicer, but honestly I like it more than the current E-class or A6 (I haven't sat in the new G30 5er yet.). The touchscreen was rather intuitive and most things can be done via steering wheel control or voice control. And most other settings you're likely to do while stationary. Maybe Audi has the right idea with their new A8...hmmm. And those seats....

I think the only short-coming is that a lack of 6cyl or larger engine might cause some hesitation if not outright disapproval.

If I was in the market, I truly would not disount looking this car. Bravo, Volvo!

Finally, my first proper sighting of the S90 on the roads today, metallic white T-6 edition. The unique design really stands out from the crowd and even the semi controversial taillights looks good too. So it is such a shame we don't see more of them on the road.
