A3/S3/RS3 Officially official: 2013 Audi A3

The Audi A3 is a small family car (C-segment) manufactured and marketed by Audi AG since September 1996. The first two generations of the Audi A3 were based on the Volkswagen Group A platform, while the third and fourth generations use the Volkswagen Group MQB platform.
So you have to see a doc if you can't distinguish these.
Dude, did you even read my post. it clearly said the REAR. Is that the rear in your opinion?

P.S. And you have to see a doc if you cant distinguish the A6 front from the A4 front...sorry man. But it's two different worlds.

^ True Tumbo but at a glance both Audi and BMW are tricky to identify which model is which, especially from a distance. A strong uniform identity is good and something to be cherished not dismissed or laughed at.

Yes my fault, I skipped the rear. Indead 3 Series and 5 Series are almost the same. A strong uniform identity is on the contrary very nice but not to such extent that you have difficulties to distinguish them. The Bangle cars did it best, having a uniform identity but being still different, but the problem is that they did not look very good.

Why? Why should we applaud the lack of imagination of the designers?

It's possible to design nice cars, different enought one to each other, without breaking a "brand indentity". I mean, even between Audi, a R8 is unmistakable Audi without looking exactly the same as the rest of the cars.
A strong brand identity doesn't mean dullnes.

Regards.

Except the E60, which took some time to actually be beautiful and classic!
But back to the new era, I really have huge difficulties seing the difference from e 3er and the 5er when I see them on the road.
When it comes to the Audis, the only ones I do have that with, is the new A4 and A5.

A6 is really the car that stands out of all the Audis.
Well, except now that they put its rear lights on the A3 :(

^ I always loved the E60 and would go as far as to say its one of BMW's finest designs. Now the interior is a whole other ball of wax because it truly wasn't their finest hour.

The curtain rises? :p
It has already risen over a week ago. What do they mean? That they dont know that the pics are out there already?

In any way, I cant wait to see the car in s-line and in other colors!

Nah, I think they want both to get some more attention. If they would release the 3d and 5d at the same time, it would be less attention for both.
They are welcomed to drop the new S3 at the same time though :D
True. Forgot that it wasn't yet released officially..:eusa_doh:

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
