Well it doesn't look like the SL has gotten even 1/2 of the technology the S interior is supposed to have. That said the slabby spy shots of the S's interior don't look too promising.

Everything SL, exept those craptastic boot shut lines. That's done just so much better on the SLK.
To me the experience in an SLK was anything but that. It all felt extremely low quality. Very noticeable.
....but then again, the dealer had an SLS as well, and before the SLK I spent like 20 minutes inside the SLS.....

For me they are looking promising. I can see a beautiful interior the best in my imagination with that deatails. I can use them for a superb arrangement. It will look stunning and unique.

Seriously Klier, you've got to be kidding. The SLK's interior is excellent by any objective measure. Sure if you compare it to an SLS it's going to come off second best, but compare it to any competitor and anything in it's price bracket and it holds it's own commendably. 'Extremely low quality' is a cheap shot.

IRL @ JIMS, I will not say the Z4's materials are of better quality. Yet IMO the SLK's finish in some areas of the interior below eye level does raise some questions.
And forget me being a Beemer guy, the Z4 is a masterpiece in BMW's design arsenal and definitely the better looking car
It's easy: From the E-class-up I can't fault M-B on build or perceived quality (have licked, tasted, feel and scratched every surface of every German car of origin @ JIMS) The A-C Classes including the SLK has their fare share of nasty plastics below eye level - trust me

Well first if you think the SLK has an inferior quality than Z4 or even Porsche cayman/boxter then u must have been inside the old gen SLK.
Secondly..thinking the Z4 looks better that is entirely personal and objective opinion that has nothing to do with reality.

Ok go spend 20 minutes in an SLS and then jump into the Z4. I'm sure the Z4 will feel just FABULOUS! Not.
