Cayenne Porsche Cayenne EV 2025 / 206 Spy Pics

The Porsche Cayenne is a series of automobiles manufactured by Porsche since 2002. It is a luxury crossover SUV, and has been described as both a full-sized and a mid-sized vehicle.
I wonder if Porsche will do a similar move like Audi and use a Chinese design platform, manufactured in China for some future models and unique to China design to cut costs.

LOL how would that cut costs? It would mean additional cars which would complicate things further.

It's the best selling luxury car in the U.S and sales have been up 40% YoY, so something gels with customers.

I don't know where you got the numbers from. The 5 series sales in US is down ~25% in Q2 2025 (~10% in H1). And i5 specifically is down 40%!

I don't want to side track this thread discussing 5er sales. The larger point is, the suggestion that making more ICE models will somehow magically fix the issue the German car industry is facing in China is asinine. If anyone feel otherwise, I am all ears for a logical explanation.

That would be imagined foresight while focusing on a rearview mirror.

There's a lot of that going on nowadays. Not only in automotives.
