Indeed, besides aero and styling, there is no reason why an EV "sports" car can't seat 4 and have decent luggage space. The whole, bigger engine == more power will be a relic of the past. The real trade off is battery weight vs range.

Exterior/interior design will most probably become a most important criterion for buyers as the BEV era progresses

With engine and transmission placement not being a factor in EVs, designers will also have way more freedom both outside and inside.

Laws of physics won't change. For example wheelbase will continue to be an important factor.

RWS already changed that to a large degree.
