WCF reader photographs what appears to be the Renault Laguna successor in Paris

Renault's replacement for the dated Laguna has been caught on camera by a WCF reader in Paris, France.
Set to be unveiled on July 6, the new mid-size model appears to look much more modern and it will replace not only the Laguna, but also the Latitude. This prototype spotted on public roads appears to wear less camouflage than before and shows the taillights expanding on the tailgate while the shape of the rear body indicates it's a sedan.
Renault's brand new D segment offering will likely get an entirely different moniker to distance itself from the aforementioned Laguna and Latitude which were far from being a success for the French marque. It will be based on the CMF platform co-developed with Nissan and should be larger than the Laguna so expect a stretched wheelbase to make it popular in China where rear legroom is very important.
The model is believed to receive full LED headlights, a four-wheel steering system, second-gen R-Link infotainment system and a generous array of safety & assistance systems, including head-up display and semi-automatic self-parking technology.
It will be produced at the Georges Besse plant factory in Douai, France and is expected to go on sale this fall.
