Mercedes-Benz Cars delivered 501,600 (-15%) vehicles in the first quarter.
Global demand remains strong, with deliveries of Mercedes-Maybach and S-Class increasing 161% and 67% respectively.
Mercedes-Benz xEV sales rose 37% (plug-in hybrid and battery electric vehicles) to 67,800 units, of which 21,900 (+210%) were BEVs. In total, Mercedes-Benz Cars xEVs now account for 15% of new car sales. In Europe, Mercedes-Benz xEV deliveries account for 33% of total sales.
Sales of high-end vehicles (AMG, Maybach, G-Class, S-Class, GLS and EQS) reached 76,200 (+1%).
The best-selling model remains the GLC, with 100,400 units sold in the first quarter of 2022.
