They actually date the car. Too conformist. Too Disney backpedaling on Star Wars to traditional fans because we f#cked up!
I think Uygar has actually created something not far off. Like the iX LCI blending in to conform with the iX3. The i7 will probably do something similar.

All fine and good regarding BMW LCIs. But I think that we can anticipate something truly special in the form of the successors to the G60/61 and G70 cars. Still a few years off though.

LCI like this would make the car look instantly outdated. Absolutely no. @bmwblog’s render is great, and that’s probably how it’s gonna end up looking like.

Definitely looks like a greater focus has been placed on adding design elements that emphasize the width of the front end rather than simply creating a tall, imposing look centered around the XL grille.

I was super bored so I made these LCI sketches… There you go.

Now that I’m looking at it, especially after the Neue Klasse, these grilles look gargantuan . I guess I got used to the new design pretty quickly. When I first saw the iX3 concept, the small vertical kidneys looked so odd and extremely small compared to the whole body, because I was (and many of you as well) so used to the big grilles.
Still looks good though, I’m pretty sure it’s gonna end up looking like a mix of my render and bmwblog’s.

I also think the NK face would look so weird with the 7er and the X7, solely because of their sheer size. So it’s pretty understandable why they chose the split headlights/big grilles route.
They also need to be easily identifiable as the “top of the lineup” models.

I think they will retain the large grilles for the status of the i7 as a Grand-Klasse Luxury model. X7 too.

They will probably still offer market dependent models from the 740d to the 760i.

We're going to see the 7 LCI before the W223 FL?

Damn MB is really allowing BMW to attack their market.

This will probably be BMWs best 7 effort to date if they manage to tidy up the exterior and interior.

The changes to the front end GTA is describing could be a redeeming.
