It seems the 2016 Toyota Land Cruiser is already here in the region, possibly in pre-production form, as seen in this leaked image, apparently in the UAE.

Instagram user @mkalqassimi_ put up a photo of what looks like the 2016 Land Cruiser, partly covered and claimed to be in a Dubai dealership parking lot. It looks to be the real deal, based on brochure leaks earlier.

The “new” 2016 model is expected to just be a facelift of the existing model, which itself was a facelift that came out in 2012. The current-generation Land Cruiser has been running with minor changes since its debut in 2008. We believe it will debut by winter this year.

A Landcruiser in Norway starts at 1.4m NOL, 175,000 USD without options, so not cheap.

Way way way back a girlfriends dad had a VX Saharah Landcruiser, it was a beast, loved going skiing in that car, it just ate the miles, such an good roadtrip car.

Exactly the same here in Bolivia, Naas-ty Human. Is THE large SUV, and holds it's value better than anything else.

By the way, some call Citroën DS and tell them Toyota just stole their new front. The facelift Ranger is also uncomfortably close.

It's sad that the LC, the paragon for burly offroad prowess, has been taken over by the chrome brigade. I can understand doing that with a Lexus version (because those high-end malls can be a real jungle), but doing it on a Landcruiser...that's not right.

Still, if I need to get anywhere in the world, a LC or G-wagen would be it.

Nissan outsells Landcruiser in UAE. Toyota is already on their 3rd or 4th facelift trying to keep up with the nissan.

The nissan is just a better package overall. Pretty loaded in standard form with simple 3 level trim.

The engines are better, the gearbox do wonders and better overall driving experience on/off road.
