Supra [Spy Shots] Toyota Supra

The Toyota Supra is a sports car and grand tourer manufactured and developed by the Toyota Motor Corporation beginning in 1978. The name "supra" is a definition from the Latin prefix, meaning "above", "to surpass" or "go beyond". The 5th generation of the Supra is assembled alongside the G29 BMW Z4 in Graz, Austria by Magna Steyr.

Oddly, I get a modern-day Alfa vibe from the rear 3/4's. Not bad looking, but nothing surprising. Long gestation coupled with having a solid idea of its looks has me thinking that this age quicker than expected.

I kinda like what I'm seeing even though I agree with @hoffmeister_fan that Toyota teased the car longer than they should to the point that the surprise factor is lost.

I have a feeling that the designers of this new Supra liked the previous generation from the 1990's so they imagined how it looks in today's era. I see some influences on the front fascia, the headlights, and a vague resemblance on the tail lights.

I don't want to go off-topic, but this picture for some reason brings back memories of Gran Turismo 2, where JDM sports cars almost ruled the game with this Supra, the Toyota MR2, the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution generations, the Subaru Impreza, among many other ones...

It looks great, reminds me of the 1990's Supra and is better looking than the Z4. I am itching to know what the final interior will look like.

Predictable. But it should have, at least temporarily, its' "niche appeal". Nice enough. Nothing more, nothing less.

I think this car will be great but the just like the LFA and NSX the launch and development are so dragged out I don't want to participate in this thread anymore.

I prefer Supra over the Z4. However the show car's front bumper design, placement of the front lights and lower hoodline, as it appears, was so much more attractive than the very ordinary looking real car in comparison. The show car was far more sleeker.

Even though the concept was more striking, I still like this Supra...
Just feel a bit weird about it, as it will be produced in Magna Steyr, Austria; not Japan
