Panamera The Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo Concept

The Porsche Panamera is a mid to full-sized luxury car (E-segment or F-segment for LWB in Europe) manufactured and marketed by Porsche. The Panamera name, as with the Carrera name, is derived from the Carrera Panamericana race.

It seems that everybody's going Shooting Break these days. Just two days after the start of the Mercedes-Benz CLS Shooting Break test drives, Porsche shocks us with the Panamera Sport Turismo Concept. Very few are known about this concept car at the moment, but everything hints for a Paris debut. We are not sure if it previews the second generation of the Panamera or just hints of a second body style for the current generation. What we are sure of, though, is the drivetrain of the concept car. Called "e-Hybrid", it's a mild hybrid system, that consists of a series of batteries that produce extra torque, that is added to what engine produces, via an electric motor in the gearbox.

We need to wait for the official press release for more details, but until then, you can join us in our forum discussion here: Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo Concept
