GLE 2020 Mercedes GLE Coupe Spyshots

The Mercedes-Benz GLE, formerly Mercedes-Benz M-Class (designated with the "ML" nomenclature), is a mid-size luxury SUV produced by the German manufacturer Mercedes-Benz since 1997. In terms of size, it is slotted in between the smaller GLC and the larger GLS, the latter with which it shares platforms.

We must be getting ready to see this in the next few weeks. It looks amazing in that video. Hopefully this sportier variant will drive like the press wants it to.

I am pleasantly surprised that this is turning out better with every video that comes out. The last video with it almost undisguised shows the nice profile with those 22inch wheels, the car appears quite compact, especially with the short rear overhangs.

One thing I noticed that Mercedes is following BMW trend of bringing out slimmer rear lights. This GLE coupe rear lights look nearly as slim as the BMW X6.

Hate this segment, but it looks really good. This may change my outlook like the Q8 (which is so nice).

Looks good. Why is the GLS in front of it in camo?

M

Looks like it says GLS 53 or 63 (I can see that it's 2 digits) on the trunk. Given the exhausts I'm going to assume 63. I guess we'll be seeing that soon too.

From my last venture to AMG private lounge forum; the GLS/E 63 are due in 1.5-2 months with a premiere at the LA auto show, which has become a tradition for AMG.

The Camo is coming off at record speed,
faster than any Mercedes in recent memory.

How long was the current GLE on the market? I believe it has had the shortest life for a series MB, right?

Masterful money grab by MB using the old ML/GLE bones with how popular it the current iteration is.

The current GLE coupe was launched at the 2015 Detroit Show (Jan 2015) so you can say it has been on the market for 4 years.

The outgoing GLE was just a rebadged ML, so it had a 8 year lifespan 2012-2019. Now if you mean the coupe, then yes it was short, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and likely 2020 model year also, so that's a short 5 years. Like the first generation CLK from 1998-2002, with the cabriolet held over for 2003 model year.
