What the hell are you guys even talking about? Some people really love to talk about off topic sh*t ??
Let’s just focus on the 7er please, thank you.

Quote from BMW head of design Domagoj Dukec :

(We thought how can we give more attention to detail , we can do this by concentrating just on the daylight , the beam which you need for the night you cant really design them or maybe in the future you will be able to do something) !!!

He admitted that they focused on the daylight design and treated the headlight as just a function because they cant design them !

Personally, I have no problem with the design of the X7 or the leaked photo of new BMW 7 series , i like the new design ,but there is no need to raise controversy twice in a row :

The first was large kidney
The second time with split headlights

These actions may have a negative effect , I realize that tastes differ from one person to another, especially the design, and there are those who did not like the design of the car, and I respect their opinion .

And I think everyone could have been satisfied (at least) if BMW hid the ( functional lighting) as they describe it, under an automatic cover similar to the charging port cover of electric cars :

^^^ It does not work without the split setup. Already almost all cars in production use black surfaces and openings (pretending to be intakes and diffusers) to better distribute and balance front and rear facias (which are increasing in cross-section due to pedestrian safety regulations; radar equipment; electric batteries and the demand for larger grills). BWM's transformation of this negative space into headlights is a decent solution. The car looks lean and bold at the same time. It is not as beautiful as the S-class but it is more thrilling, which is a coup as far as BMW is concerned. This used to be Merc's design domain.

Rolls-Royce and Range Rover has the most advanced technology and both have a clean design without the black surfaces and openings , And they both meet the standards of pedestrian safety regulations and they are better than many production vehicles .

I think it depends on the designers , and BMW head of design Domagoj Dukec saying that (the brand’s new direction won’t please everyone and that do reach certain customers, there’s a need to stand out)

But I like his philosophy and the new direction , Honestly, if I were in his place, I would try to find a middle ground that satisfies everyone, like the solution I mentioned in my previous post .

Can't stop looking at the front with no double headlights. Looks absolutely fantastic.

Looks truly stupid. Some people are way too much invested in tiny slim headlights. Which looks completely crazy on such a gigantic car. The double headlights add a hell of a lot of character.
Oh well. At least I don't have to look at photoshops and fake quick design changes by n00bs to like a product :D

Rolls-Royce and Range Rover has the most advanced technology

Even a Rolls falls short compared to a BMW, Audi or Mercedes tech wise. And I won't even mention JLR products; some look hella good but are almost void of new cutting edge tech. What does a new Range Rover have that a BMW or Mercedes doesn't have/does better?

It’s funny. Because on Wednesday people were commentating on how Citroenesque they look. Which as we have a Cactus it was recently interesting to see the more recent models up close especially the glow stick outline LED tubes they have introduced.
Which explains why French youths hit the backlights to switch them on.
I hope BMW do not implement that idea.

From the VFL, most of its attributes have already been used separately.

The grille (+ -) on the g11 LCI
Entire waistline and side bulges in the current 3 series.
The taillights on the EQS....

It is an old concept that will not materialize as 9 series and I even doubt that it was created for that purpose, but more for exploration

Can’t see anything specific about the VFL that looks better than this G70.
The VFL has a gorgeous side profile, low and sleek. The front looks deceptively elegant and aggressive. I say "deceptive" because the front bumper/valance is quite complex. The rear, like the rest of the car, has a new interpretation of BMW's rear end while maintaining other BMW IP details (H-kink, double kidney grille, L-shaped rear lights, etc.). While the S-Class and A8 had a more upright, stately look, the VFL was more in the mold of a Quattroporte that could more than compete in this class.

Whenever I see a post that has a pic of the VFL, my car-loving heart weeps just a little as I still contend it's one of the best concept cars that could transform to something more production-ready that has come out in the last 10 or so years. For a modern-day BMW, the VFL was a design high-point.

Jesus, I guess @klier has dediced to go and delete what he had posted and go to do some yoga instead.

If anyone else thinks agreeing with this comment by 275 deserves to be insulted, I do recommend yoga to you as well.

Yeah I figured it wasn't worth derailing this thread like a little kid.
Now go find another post that doesn't agree with you can call the person a fanboy. Chop chop, off you go.

And I damn sure didn't insult you!
