Yeah I figured it wasn't worth derailing this thread like a little kid.
Now go find another post that doesn't agree with you can call the person a fanboy. Chop chop, off you go.

Sure? Don't you want to insult anyone else? Please let us know which buttons not to press on the forum so you don't have to go and grab the meds mate.

Looks truly stupid. Some people are way too much invested in tiny slim headlights. Which looks completely crazy on such a gigantic car. The double headlights add a hell of a lot of character.
Oh well. At least I don't have to look at photoshops and fake quick design changes by n00bs to like a product :D
If you think the design is stupid , I don't think adding a bold black font ( headlight) will change your mind ! Because you didn't appreciate the main design elements on the front ! which is the daytime running light .

Remember this was not said by n00bs on the Internet (like me) , this is what BMW said, the design elements in the front of the car are the daytime running lights and large kidney .

You definitely don't like the car and you'll need some time to like it and thats normal , BMW itself said the brand’s new direction won’t please everyone.

What do you think about the front of the car without the daytime running lights? I think you don't mind if its not there because it's stupid and inconsistent with a car of this size according to your opinion.

There is a problem with some fans

Because of their love and loyalty to the brand , they cannot express themself freely but always finds themself on the defensive and this makes them fall into great contradictions , While others don't care about the noobs or the brand, they just say what they believe in.

The difference between you and me is that I am trying to discuss and convince those who did not like the design and you are trying to marginalize other opinions.

Even a Rolls falls short compared to a BMW, Audi or Mercedes tech wise. And I won't even mention JLR products; some look hella good but are almost void of new cutting edge tech.

I did not say that Rolls-Royce and Range Rover are more advanced than BMW

. Already almost all cars in production use black surfaces and openings (pretending to be intakes and diffusers) to better distribute and balance front and rear facias (which are increasing in cross-section due to pedestrian safety regulations; radar equipment; electric batteries and the demand for larger grills).
I replied to what duesy said ,That the technologies or pedestrian safety regulations is not an obstacle or a reason to add fake (black surfaces and openings) And i said they are better than many production vehicles by meeting the pedestrian safety regulations.

What does a new Range Rover have that a BMW or Mercedes doesn't have/does better?

I know you didn't understand me first , but i can answer that question :

Range Rover is one of the most unique and special car on the world it is a 2 car in 1

It is a luxury car that can offer what cars of a different class offer like 7 series and S Class plus its 4x4 monster and its have (the most) technologies that BMW or Mercedes have , And Range Rover has the advanced technologies and capabilities of all-wheel drive 4x4 that BMW dream about , Or do you think this isn't technology either ?

Just try to compare X7 or GLS to Range Rover , You will find that they fall easily.

Some of you are really funny. BMW was the first to introduce the Infotainmentsystem idrive with two screens. And mercedes "copied" it. And the e65 was the most advanced sedan of its time.

Just as Mercedes was the first to install “tablets” and BMW “copied” them.

Some things Mercedes takes over (or are similar to) from BMW, some from Audi, ... and vice versa

It has always been that way.

These comparisons, who copies who and who was first, ... have become very annoying
Idk why you quoted my posts, but I have no dog in that fight, as I do not care. I don't care that BMW took inspiration for the Bangle butt from the 1997 Mercedes-Maybach or split headlights from Hyundais or that Mercedes was heavily influenced by iDrive/screen layout for the W221. I have owned many high dollar Benzes and Bimmers and I love both brands and at no point have I criticized either for this mutual "inspiration".

Each of the two brands takes inspiration from the other and there is nothing wrong with two of the very best automakers doing that. I'm laughing at @mac1 because of the constant Mercedes-fan baiting by constantly ranking Mercedes last in his lists. It's hilarious to me, but I had no idea he was serious.

Can’t see anything specific about the VFL that looks better than this G70.

My take on the BMW VFL concept:

It impresses me so because: BMWs' project design team got absolutely nothing wrong. Both exterior and interiors are simply immaculate. Not only is the architecture of the VFLs' silhouette perfectly balanced (bonnet-to-greenhouse-to-rear deck ratio as well as the DLO/flank ratio), the dialogue between the wheel arches and flank sculpturing is genuinely ingenious with the enticing application concave and convex surfacing cohesively accentuated with very few yet effective razor-sharp creases. Sundries such as the lighting units, grill, economical application of trim all serve a very particular purpose of accentuating the fundmental attributes of the design while not attempting "LOOK AT THIS !! " showboating (which is nowadays so often referred to "bold detailing").

The VFLs' interior simply strikes me as "being as good as it gets". Timelessly modern without being fashionable and a perfect symbiosis of technological surfacing and supple elegance.

A "5 Star" automotive design exercise and perhaps the most beautiful BMW 4 door ever.

The proportions and detailing of the VFL are better to me. The VFL has more of that low and wide look that reminds me of the E38 vs. the very upright, tall look of the G70. I suspect the proportions of the G70 were determined more by compromise with the need to accommodate battery packs rather than what the designers would've desired.

The wait is basically over! I don’t think I’ve ever been this excited for a car release before. Maybe it was the M3/4 but this new 7er is something completely new. I think the new designs make people excited therefore the hype goes up. Just look at the new MB products, literally no one is excited because we can already tell how they will end up looking like.
