7 Series 2023 (MY) BMW 7-Series (G70/G71) Spyshots

The BMW 7 Series is a full-size luxury sedan manufactured and marketed by the German automaker BMW since 1977. It is the successor to the BMW E3 "New Six" sedan. The 7 Series is BMW's flagship car and is only available in a sedan bodystyle (including long wheelbase and limousine models). It traditionally introduces technologies and exterior design themes before other models in BMW's lineup.

^Completely and totally disagree and would rather wait for HR official pics or seeing the new i7 in person to make a statement like that.

In my eyes, even in crappy leaks and renders it looks 2 worlds better than that egg.

Diff'rent strokes, my friend.

I find the EQS/EQE sedans neither ugly nor particularly attractive. Selected, isolated elements give me a relatively positive "vibe". As far as the proportions of their architectures go, very much the opposite is the case.

Certainly, I must see an i7 in-the-metal before making any sort of constructive judgement. But the first images of the undisguised car display something that I personally perceive as "been there, done that" boring.

As it stands, I've become all the more eager to see what BMW and M-B competitiors will bring to the table over the course of the next few years. Mark my words: the EQS/EQE sedans and BMW G70/71 will quite comfortably be topped purely in the context of eye-appeal. Then again, it won't be the most daunting task at hand.

@Oida : Sure, friend, i do understand what you mean and frankly speaking, i don't care either for i7 or EQS, it's the ICE 7er i'm waiting for and that's what counts in my book. EQS doesn't even look like S class. The only thing about i7 i'm really interested in is the interior and from what we've seen so far it rather looks very promising.

You're probably right about that but i couldn't care less as i simply don't care for EV, any.

Future is EV tho

Me and my 8 friends simply don't give a f:

I don't get it why some of you are "in shock" for the rear end. This is the design language right now .

Exactly. Very much like the iX.
And not like the X6 what @EnI said.

Even in one single low res pic I like that rear very much indeed.

The Future: Can I change your invertor and fit high performance cables and motors?

LOL, that's not the future. That is a very poorly thought out compromise of an ICE car. In a real BEV there is a neat frunk over there. Storage.

I know these numbers are estimated but the EPA range is fantastic. I need to see how options effect the range though; if it’s like the i4, range can differ dramatically with trim/options.

Even without options the real world figures are nowhere near what is claimed. Check Harry's Garage with the M50 i4.

Wow, as usual this thread has grown significantly over the last 27.5 months! Would've been even bigger if I had posted those first i7 mule photos back in November 2019 I imagine.

Although I am disappointed somewhat with the G70 exterior and demise of the V12, I look forward to the fact BMW is surpassing the W223 on the interior, in my opinion.

I unfortunately lost what I had hoped would be my first and last 7-Series, 2019 M760i, after it was recently totaled by my fiance in February. Unfortunately G71 won't be that vehicle ever as a replacement. Oh well. Still interesting to see what it brings to the segment in terms of innovation.

Let's see if by reveal, this can beat the record of the G11 Spy Thread at 4,222 posts.
