So, today I took delivery of my new BMW M4 Coupe Competition Package. It's an LCI model in Austin Yellow with full black merino leather, and the new black 666M alloys. The full list of options is as follows:

M DCT dual-clutch gearbox
Sun protection glass
Extended storage
Carbon fibre interior trim
Icon Adaptive LED headlights
High beam assist
BMW M Head-up display
Loudspeaker system Harman/kardon
Speed limit display
BMW M carbon mirror package

I drove it around 200 miles today, but rather sedately as I'm obviously running it in. The thing that struck me initially is how loud the exhaust is. On the cold start inside the dealership it was quite deafening. The exhaust note is "enhanced" due to it being the Competition Package, but I was still taken aback by how loud it is. I'll talk more about the handling and the performance at a later date because it's kind of irrelevant until I have the run-in service done at around 2,000km.

Tomorrow I am having the M Performance exhaust fitted, which is quite scary when I consider how loud it is already.

The photos do not do it justice. I think it's absolutely stunning.

Manny enjoyable and safe miles Betty!

Do you still have your R8? Would be interesting how you compare the two as longer term ownership propositions once you've had this for a while.

Well done my friend, the thing I'm most curious about, is your opinion on the combination of that rubber on these wheels... with our roads?

Though.. you did pick some nice roads to stretch its legs on... Peak district?

Stunning car Betty congrats. Once 2000km is come up then it's flat foot all the way! Did you sell your M2 or R8?

Congratulations Betty - many happy, safe and thrilling miles. Show us a pic of the interior please. :)

And of course, here comes the obligatory...

"Why, you lucky bastard!"

Congratulations!! what a lovely car and color combination, love those rims color.

What I really love about it is the that the lower part of the back bumper has the same color as the car, looks great (y)

Congratulation Betty! Really nice car and specification - the LCI treatment really modernises the car IMO - just what was needed to remain the king. Where were those pictures taken?

Congrats Betty be safe and Enjoy the Monster.. A quick question seeing as you also live in the UK do you mange to drive these cars you have at high speeds and if i may ask where??
