M8 BMW M8 (F91 & F92) Official picture thread


The BMW M8 is the high-performance version of the BMW 8 Series (G15) marketed under the BMW M sub-brand. Introduced in June 2019, the M8 was initially produced in the 2-door convertible (F91 model code) and 2-door coupe (F92 model code) body styles. A 4-door sedan (F93 model code, marketed as 'Gran Coupe') body style was added to the lineup in October 2019. The M8 is powered by the BMW S63 twin-turbocharged V8 engine shared with the BMW M5 (F90). Official website: BMW M

It looks gorgeous on those shots... though I think I'd still take a 992 Carrera (4)S over this.
 
BMW Switzerland is launching a new limited edition BMW model. The BMW M8 Competition Edition Pit Lane was specially designed for the automotive market in Switzerland and Liechtenstein. In total, only ten units of the BMW M8 Competition Edition Pit Lane will be produced by March 2021. Seven of them are based on the BMW M8 Competition Gran Coupé, and only three edition vehicles are based on the M8 Competition Convertible.

I'm not feeling those "editions". They aren't special in terms of tech ... it is like a normal customer doing some BMW M Individual order ... only difference is, that some market does this "configuration" and is ordering a bunch, so in the end you get an "BMW Individual car" that is not that individual anymore but maybe a bit less expensive :p
... waiting for M8 CS ... that would be something ...

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
