M8 [Official] The New BMW M8 Coupé & Convertible (F91 & F92)

The BMW M8 is the high-performance version of the BMW 8 Series (G15) marketed under the BMW M sub-brand. Introduced in June 2019, the M8 was initially produced in the 2-door convertible (F91 model code) and 2-door coupe (F92 model code) body styles. A 4-door sedan (F93 model code, marketed as 'Gran Coupe') body style was added to the lineup in October 2019. The M8 is powered by the BMW S63 twin-turbocharged V8 engine shared with the BMW M5 (F90). Official website: BMW M
I'm not fan of stretched Gran Coupe design
Same here! The GC versions (8 series AND 6 series) are simply much too large/long/big for me ... I don't like such big boats! Not saying the 8 series 2 door coupe is small ... but in comparison ...

7er GC? They just have to change the badge (8 for 7), remove the 4er coupe to merge with the 8er? None of that will happen, they are making fortunes from the High Margin cars, giving it a separation from the other lower lines, too much investment put into it to go back.
What I think could happen is that the 8 GC remains and the smaller 6GC appears with a tailgate in the middle of the 8 and 4 GC

The green color on the M8 Gran Coupe looks great. Is that a factory color?
If so, looks like it is not available in the US.

Big mistake by bmw to not visually refresh the 8-Series. In this price segment buyers enjoy swapping cars for something different or something that looks new. Driving the latest whatever is a bragging right and sanse achievement.

Without visual changes there is also little incentive for existing owners to trade in for a new model year.

This is not a fair review of the M8 Comp. The car has merits but the UK is not the optimal conditions for it the same way the roads of Los Angeles are not perfect for manual Fiesta ST.

I would go as far as say that the M8 is a hyper car rather than a Sportscar. On British B-roads its too big, too heavy and not agile enough to feel thrilling at low speeds. It has a very powerful engine but you can’t exploit it on UK motorways which there are very few of and on most of which you can’t sustain 80mph+ for long before being stuck behind another car.

In Germany however I can envision the M8 as a brilliant car for covering long distances in. Fast, luxurious but sporty enough to feel stable and controllable at high speeds.

The M8 is not a hypercar. It's just a victim of the modern times and trends.

Cars are getting bigger, heavier and more and more powerful, but the roads are more or less still the same. Such big and fast cars are just not usable around here.

As a car fan, the M8 is not the type of car I drool over. It leaves me cold and indifferent. An M240i on the other hand...

An M8 is definitely not a hypercar. It's a big, heavy Grand Tourer and by that token doesn't have to be an outright sports car either.

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
