Thanks, mate! I know there should have been pics... can't wait either!

The A3 and the Cooper S must be two of the least alike cars on the market today in that, roughly the same, segment.

Where in Norway are you based?

That, on the other, hand is a rather pricey "option". I would put it as an "option" since about 99 out of 100 Minis have it.

Included is:

Leather sports steering wheel.
17" alloys.
Floor mats.
Height adjustment for passenger seat.
Storage package.
Colorline Dark Grey.
Fog lights.
Xenon.
Climate control.
Board computer.
Lighting package.

On the Swedish market you get the LSD and the Sports chassis as cost free options when getting the Chili package. You have them as cost free options since they are not available should you opt for an automatic gearbox.

That's awesome! Congrats, dr! Many happy miles!:usa7uh::usa7uh:

:D No worries about the photo's man I just HAD TO post that thingy!

I am based about 3 miles outside the capital Oslo, near the Oslo fjord,
a place called Drøbak.

Ever heard of it ?
:)

(sometimes segemets are defined,
and I think that this way is also correct,
segment based on a prices)
;)

Of course I know of Dröbak, I grew up in Strömstad :D

I agree that the Cooper and A3 are not that perfectly fitted in the same category but we did actually take a brief look at both the A3 Sportback and the 1-series before ending up with the Cooper.

Now all you have to do is wait..

Really sweet, close to the big city but still a nice and easy place.

I have moved to Stockholm for school and now work but I visit Strömstad for a few weeks each summer.

My current ride:

Not that involving, especially since they don't let me drive... :D

NOOOOOO!!!! I don't know if I can talk to you anymore. :eusa_snoo You selfishly chose the Cooper S when you know you should have chosen the MINI E. How could you abandon our sacred mission for cleaner environment? Shame on you! :eusa_naug We are seriously considering expelling you from the BMW Green Power Club.

Seriously though, congratulations!:t-cheers: You'll be having a lot of fun with that little rocket! :t-drive: Nice options as well, pretty much fully loaded. :usa7uh:

Haha, you guys over at BMWGPC are so uptight :D
Is'nt that Scott (president of BMWGPC), wearing spectacles and a Yul Brynner haricut?

Thank you! I think we got pretty much what we need :D

Actually, that picture is taken at the green line of the Stockholm subway :D

Sorry for joining the party late. Congrats with the purchase the colour combo is excellent as it is one of the most popular choice for Cooper S buyers in here London. The specs sounds awesome especially the LSD, very sporty and adventurous. May I ask how come you opted for a Mini Cooper S rather than all the other hot hatches? Was it for the uniqueness and character of the Mini?

Thank you! To me the red and white is the classic Mini colours and we simply could not resist it.

The other cars we took a look at was the A3 Sportback and the 1-series (we almost ended up with a 120d, but decided to go for unpracticality instead :D). I never liked the new Civic and the interior of the Renault Sports did not cut it. Apart from that, when sitting in the Cooper one can't help but smiling, all the time! I don't think is is the fastest hatch around, but I doubt there is anything on this market in this segment that matches it for driving pleasure. Furthermore, it really is a rather special design, inside out.
