Hot! Jaguar: What's Next?

Are you kidding?

Nope.

Agreed, it is not very original and certainly generic. But purely in the context of exterior design, the car veils its girth far more effectively than the porky A6 etron. As soon as the A6 etron is presented at my local Audi dealership, I'll be taking a closer look at it. But so far, based on photo and video footage, I can't say that I like what I see.

This is starting to look pretty, pretty good:

As nice or whatever as it may end up being, is the market really going to go crazy over high end EVs with atrocious resales?

Signs are the Taycan is now struggling under more regular market condtions, and the Macan is not meeting sales expectations.

This stategy may well be the final disastrous step for Jaguar.

I love huge luxury cars, so I am super excited to see this.

I love huge luxury cars as well. I even dream about owning one some day.

An electric luxury car, however is an oxymoron because range anxiety is stressful—and stress is the opposite of luxury.

I've convinced myself that this, or the Project 00 Concept, was what was on the drawing board for that rumored Road Rover sedan. The side "power vents" and horizontal elements on the front and rear grills have so much more in common with the L322 third generation Range Rover.

Lol I understand not liking BEVs but these kinds of statements are both ridiculous and hilarious.

Indeed, this is often the sort of statement anchored in "politics" rather than a specific lambasting of the technology per se. "Modern" conservatives may catch the drift: "The future is an inevitablity-and we must accept and pragmatically embrace it. But it is not acceptable to have agendas forcefully shoved into ones face". As for me, I really got the BEV timeline wrong having anticipated the BEVs proliferation far sooner. And now, I see a lot of justification for PHEVs and perhaps soon REEVs. BEV domination can...and will...wait. But it will eventually come. Eventually. It will be interesting to visit this site in 5-to-10 years time.

I'm not sure if this car is going to be a commercial success, but I predict it will be a monster or a car. A straight up arrogant, mob boss type of car. I expect the interior to be one of the best interiors ever seen. Now will it sell? Maybe the SUV should have been first, but then again, bringing the sedan out first is the only way to get people to buy it. Once the SUV comes, people will be walking right past the sedan.

I had higher hopes tbh, but after seeing the concept and now seeing this lose some camo and resemble the concept more... I am whelmed.

I was expecting something super curvy, yet low slung and exotic.. we're getting a chunky brick instead ig

Im very interested in the design of the front, its great to see the car has short front overhangs and slim headlights similar in shape to previous Jags. It do believe this car is going to be a design center piece that will have people all over talking about it.

I do miss the old Jag saloons, the original XJ6 still is a stunning car.

curvy was now for 50 years
its time for a change - if it wouldnt be, then the actual Jags would sell like crazy, but they didnt

the problem with the old XJ's is: we all are saying they are beautiful, yet no one of us bought it
there must be a reason for that

I haven’t been in an XJ, but I test drove a 2018 XF S with my friends last week and it drove better than my G30 did but the interior was so shitty and cheap feeling. I would imagine the XF had a similar problem.
