Hot! Jaguar: What's Next?

Most Jags look alright, the problem, IMHO, has for years been that the brand appeal is too narrow for them to follow through on broadening their customer base, given the sister Land/Range Rover brand is targeting the same people with more suitable products.

It's a niche thing I tend to focus on, and it's largely too late now, but the lack of relevant motorsport presence has been a missed opportunity.

The only problem with Jags was their reliability - which was catastrophic (its the same with RangeRover)
The design (XJ, F-pace, F-type...Ian Callum is a design god) was breathtaking, the interior (i'm speaking XJ) luxurious with best materials, all Jags drive better then the 3 Germans, but yeah the quality....it they would have Lexus quality, i would buy them instantly.
If they don't significantly improve the quality of the new model - that is, introduce a new production method, additional checkpoints, more brutal tests, more durable and proven parts and materials... then even the most unique design won't help them in the long run.
I really want them to succeed. As a huge car enthusiast, I don't want the automotive world to lose such a legendary brand.

Jaguar is lost already, their cars are too expensive to buy and maintain and nobody buys them. The expensive EV is the last car we'll see from them.

Yup. With Taycan sales down almost 50% Jaguar is very likely F**ked with their EV only strategy.

Mercedes will be lucky to move 10K AMG EV Coupes per annum.

What EV Coupe?

M

The one that's undergoing testing. AMG only EV Coupe. It looks like a Taycan rival of sorts.

If the Taycan managed 20K units in 2024, after peaking around 50K with significant market tailwinds, the Jaguars and AMG are in trouble unless they are vastly better propositions.

It's a 4-door.

Hm. Those small windows and super high beltline again like the Evoque did? So outlook/vision/airiness massively limited ... again so retrograde.
