Hot! Mercedes-Benz, What's Next?

I don't understand why Mercedes insists on a liftback. It shouldn't be difficult to give it a sedan shape. It makes the car look bloated.

Oddly, the C-Class EQ sedan remotely reminds me of this:

77 years ago, it may have been pretty cool though.

To be fair, when the camouflague comes off, some the precise, "sharp" accentuations of the sheetmetal will help reduce some of the bloated mass witnessed on the foiled prototypes. The wheelarch lips, the sculpturing above the rocker skirts, etc.

So far, not anticipating an "exciting" vehicle in terms of it's exterior design. But perhaps a pleasantly acceptable one. Not unlike the GLC EQ.

Both of them look goofy and untrue to their respective brands when it comes to their proportions. I hope I’m wrong when the camo comes off.

I like the styling from the front to the rear door but the boot and rear window design spoils the profile and rear 3/4 view. The rear window looks too small and the short boot lid running flush too the window lime doesn't suit the car. I have a feeling this car is not a saloon but a lift back to rival the i4

I don't have any major problems with it aside from it being a bit milquetoast. I think it'll be a modestly handsome car, but no more than that. Hopefully the EV tech makes in actually great car to own.

It's obvious it will be very similar to the GLC which I like thought I don't think the design is very cohesive. It is quite obvious the front and back were designed under two different theories.
I wish they would have stuck to the usual rear design of the C-class, classic 3 box shape with seperate boot instead of designing a rear end that has a negative influence on the rest of the cars good looking design.
