Texting* and driving is a modern day scourge of motoring and, in my opinion, is far more insidious even than drink-driving. Why?
- Scores more people text and drive than drink and drive
- People text and drive all hours of the day, every day of the week whereas drink-driving patterns have a higher frequency on specific days and times.
- Texting and driving TAKES YOUR EYES OFF THE ROAD. Don't do it!
* Texting universally applied to Facebooking, sms'ing, chatting, face-timing etc.
Blimey!! Sorry to read this. I hope you get better soon and that they throw the book at her. Absolutely disgraceful, but sadly it's common nowadays. I see people on their phones all the time. I always intervene and tell them to put their phone away, which for some reason they don't like.
