I haven't seen that yet Tyc, but with 200 hp in this car my best guess would be between 6 and 6.5 seconds....

Maybe, maybe not. The current cabrio is a perfect social weapon. The roadster, not so much.

Where would your (short legged) friends go then?!

No friend of mine would ever fit in the backseat of the Mini cabrio with someone sitting in front of him. That backseat only works of small kids. Destroying a design for that (the backseat destroys the design of the Mini cabrio) isn't cool.
But it appears we will have a Roadster version too, so everybody will be happy soon I guess. I think the Roadster looks 10 times better than the cabrio though....

The Roadster/Speedster version could work really, really well. The sketch from inside line looks really neat around the rear of the seats and towards the rear. Will, without doubt, take Cabrio sales if and when it's launched.

The question is what can we do to provide greater balance of both demographics? Nence the decision to conceive the MINI speedster/Roadster.

I can see that point of view.

But in a way this could be making two cars; Convertible for girls, Speedster for boys, when one size could, possibly, fit all?

Yeah, that's probably the worst idea I've heard unless you mean a hard-top option as in take it off in your garage and keep it there until you need it.

I completely agree with you. I just hope they don't tone it down for production though.
