Jon Olsson Changes the Look of His Audi RS 6 Avant
When pro skier and Gumball rallyist Jon Olsson started doing his cars up in snow camo wraps, it just sort of made sense. I mean, the guy is a Red Bull sponsored skier and so the snow theme is legit. Then he painted his house in the same look, and Audi Sweden opted to work with him on a limited edition A4 Avant… and then everyone seemingly started building snow camo cars.
Maybe it was time to move on. Maybe he just wanted to make a few changes. Either way, Olsson reports on his personal blog that he took an afternoon to remove the vinyl wrap from his car, taking it down to its stock Daytona Grey paint yet leaving the red valance accents, black wheels and 70′s NASCAR looking “Michelin” script logos on his tires.
In our opinion, the car looks incredible. Then again, we’ve not yet seen an RS 6 Avant that doesn’t look incredible.
Also interesting is his take on vinyl wrap removal. Sounds like it’s a fair amount of work. Here is his account.
“So yesterday I woke up and decided that it was time to remove the old wrap as I have had it for almost a year now, not that I know what to do next, but I figured that maybe a clean car could help me gain some info on how I feel about a classier look. Removing a wrap is not so bad on the big areas, but when it comes to the little pars around handles etc it does take its toll so today my finger tips feels like I grinder them agains sand paper! haha Turned out to be quite a sauna cardio session as well as we removed the wrap in a garage where it was about 35 degrees warm! “

Audi Exclusive has taken the wraps off a customized RS6 Avant.
Looking rather sinister, the car features a matte gray exterior with carbon fiber and black alloy wheels.
The sporty styling continues in the cabin as there's black leather seats, carbon fiber trim and yellow contrast stitching.
As a refresher, the RS6 Avant is powered by a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine that develops 560 PS (412 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque. It is connected to an eight-speed tiptronic transmission and a quattro all-wheel drive system which enables the model to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.9 seconds before hitting a top speed of up to 305 km/h (189 mph).

Audi India today launched the RS6 Avant in New Delhi at a price of INR 1.35 crores, ex-Showroom, New Delhi. The RS6 Avant is the performance-oriented version of the A6 estate, and creates a niche for itself with its bodystyle. Powering the Audi RS6 Avant is a 4.0-liter V8 TFSI bi-turbo petrol engine capable of 560 hp and 700 Nm of torque. This is the same engine used on the RS7 Sportback which launched in India in a facelifted avatar last month.
The V8 TFSI engine is coupled to an 8-speed tiptronic transmission which sends the power to all wheels of the estate via Audi’s Quattro all-wheel drive system. Audi claims the RS6 Avant can hit 0-100 km/h in 3.9 seconds with a top-speed of 250 km/l (which can be optionally increased to 280 km/h or 305 km/h). An air suspension system with Audi’s Dynamic Ride Control is offered standard on the RS6 Avant. The performance estate also receives standard 20-inch alloy wheels (upgradable to 21-inch) and the redesigned Audi Matrix LED headlight system with dynamic turn signals.
