here we are..Did anybody see the Alfa Romeo Giulia commercial in the Super Bowl today? I thought it was cool.
Funny
Giulia must be very heavy to only get a 0.4 advantage to the BMW, who is a little underpowered in this test.
Maybe the tires are the problem.
if notyet posted
Alfa has normal sports European tire. All other shoot themselves in the leg. That's not Alfa's fault. The tires are the Alfa's advantage. It's wearing super sticky tires.
I wonder how people are actually wasting their money subscribing to MT OnDemand.....They end up uploading the full review to YouTube 2-3 weeks later anyways
Had to look it up. The Alfa has Pirelli P Zero Corsa specifically designed for him. The M3 has Michelin’s Pilot Super Sport. What tires should the BMW use to be matched? The tires are the Alfa's advantage. It's wearing super sticky tires.

So is possible than the Alfa is just a lot of hype and the BMW with same tires, would put better lap times? There's a P Zero Corsa variant you can put on the M3. Honestly I don't really care either way as it's a manufacturer choice.
The fact is the Alfa's tire has a treadwear rating of 60, while the BMW tire is 300. That should tell you everything about what the Corsa's are doing for the Giulia.
I suspect that's the case. There were scans posted earlier on where the Alfa was slower than the M2 and C63s on track. I believe it didn't have the corsa tyres on. Take nothing away from the Alfa though it's a great car and those who've driven it love it.So is possible than the Alfa is just a lot of hype and the BMW with same tires, would put better lap times?
