4 Series [Official] BMW 4-Series Convertible (G23)

The BMW 4 Series is a range of compact executive cars manufactured by BMW since 2013. The 4 Series was created when BMW spun off the 2-door models (coupé and convertible) of the 3 Series into a separate series.
The front is not my thing, but there rest is just absolutely gorgeous on the convertible.

That flat window line is so much better than the coupe. Could you somehow PS that lower window line of the cabriolet into the profile of the coupe, @Matski?

I do not know if because it is Sunday or what, but I was envious of being there driving it in that place, nice video in tune with the car, the new one really looks upscle, the interior is perfect like that and I do not know if I want to change it for a giant screen, feel high quality materials, with that design, termination and certain buttons has not yet a replacement in my opinion maintaining this balance

The practicality that BMW brings and that is appreciated here has been transformed into a very strong anchor combined with the other attributes of the brand, it is well thought out.
In short, how nice to travel in that ...

I've always had a soft spot for BMW cabriolets, and really it's no different with this one. They've come a long way since the E30 cabrio, and IMO all are great.
I agree with the ones saying it looks better than the coupe. The shape with the roof up is like a traditional old school coupe, and it's gorgeous in profile.
Agreed! The E46/92 coupe was the pinnacle in coupe like design. The best application of any small coupe was the E46 M3... followed closely by the B9 A5 and then the B8 A5

A5? You mean that FWD car by Audi? Absolutely no way, ever! Current 2er coupe already looks better than any Audi coupe ever made.

The new M4 cabriolet is going to be disgustingly nice. Can't wait, it's almost done.

So much recalcitrant and gratuitous negativity towards every f#cking new model released by the brand on all threads, it's the festival of hatred, no appreciation or consideration towards having the presentation of dozens of new models a year, only dozens of opportunities to exercise divine justice

I guess it’s to do with the fact that people consider the new models they release sub-par in terms of design. Either the overall proportions are awkward (such as the 2 series grand coupe) or if the proportions are spot on (such as the M3) then the details are too “odd” - the big grille, for example. All of this is very surprising as you might think they have the brand name
and money to attract the best designers in the world. They used to make the best looking cars in the business (think of something like the E39 M5). It all ended when Chris Bangle was hired and they have never really recovered since then. So I think all fans would love BMW to find their mojo again and the frustration that is felt every time they get it so wrong simply manifests itself through overt negativity as you point out. I wouldn’t think anyone here to want BMW to fail. Quite the opposite. Everyone would love to see some handsome BMW’s back on the roads but when will it happen?

I find almost all their core models great looking. The 3 series is sublime, the 5er is the most stylish car in its class, the FL 7er is very striking. The X1, X3 and X5 are all good looking. Even the X7 and the 8er coupe and cabrio are nice. The 2er coupe is already a classic. Only few cars could look much better- 1er (platform castrated), 2er GC (the same), 4er coupe, M3 and M4 a little hard to swallow, 8er GC with a horrific hoffmeister kink, 3 and 6 GT elephants in a china shop, Z4 killed by the concept car, X2 very cheap looking, X4 and X6 bulky, i3 and iX ugly.

In your answer, the position of many is appreciated, although respectable is as diverse as day and night with respect to others, of course nobody wants them to go wrong, but as much as in this case, you dislike these radical changes in design and you do not understand them, in equal measure others love and applaud these risks despite the fact that we all sympathize with the brand to a greater or lesser extent.

To sympathize with the brand and with the company behind it, is also trying to understand certain strategies, and although some disapprove of the new designs, because there are simply people who do not like them and that is a widely debated topic, there are things that are clear :

You cannot always do the same, for example there was a point where the Kink was so copied that it lost its meaning.
The company knows why and when to do things, not in vain they have knowledge of the market for 100 years
Companies that don't innovate fade
You can not conform to everyone, there are even some models that personally do not convince me much.
Real customers (buyers) have responded positively and that is seen in the constant record sales, despite the fact that they themselves complain when they see them for the first time because they are not the same as what they remember.

Aren’t you the same guy who has unequivocally said that the A5 is gorgeous?

Is the car too big or is she too small?

It reminds me a bit of the brochures of the 80's, the details so well worked and the color used, the back is 50 times better than the last two generations, which really didn't tell me anything.

The wheels appear to be 20 ", they look nice in motion, this is striking in the front and elegant in the back, I do not see competitors at their height, it will steal all the sales

As always, demonstrating the qualities of the brand embodied in really good cars, the entire current line is exemplary and continually praised.
The report wields many key details

"With its silky six-cylinder engine, solid feel and crisp-yet-refined dynamics, the M440i is a good luxury car and an excellent convertible. Even though I still prefer enclosed vehicles, this droptop BMW puts a smile on my face nearly every time I drive it, a monumental achievement."

That pose in particular makes me think smaller/slimmer headlights and a smaller grille would've really enhanced the looks of this car.

Bottom line: the fantastic ride makes the M440i an experience, especially when riding with the top open. Plus, at BMW you get even more convenience for less money. The well-made S5 is also successful, but in the end it is almost 20 points behind the series 4. At just under two tons, both are too heavy.
