M3/M4 Official: BMW (E92) M3

The BMW M3 is a high-performance version of the BMW 3 Series, developed by BMW's in-house motorsport division, BMW M GmbH. M3 models have been produced for every generation of 3 Series since the E30 M3 was introduced in 1986. The BMW M4 is a high-performance version of the BMW 4 Series automobile developed by BMW's motorsport division, BMW M, that has been built since 2014. As part of the renumbering that splits the coupé and convertible variants of the 3 Series into the 4 Series, the M4 replaced those variants of the BMW M3. Official website: BMW M
Re: Official Information + Images: BMW M3 V8

There is a great video that goes along with the Dubai pictures (Alpine white) including as well as the Autodrome, that famous highway and the M3 all alone with the straights and curves ... Watch out for the Iceland pictures on the media pool the glaciers against Alpine white gives off a very interesting shade of Blue...
Is this the video you are talking about?

Re: Official Information + Images: BMW M3 V8

Now we're talking! Those are the pics i wanted to see!

So, in short: regardless of white or red car - the rims suck! I don't like them, at least not in the pics and 19" should be standard on M3, imo. They look too much like those on M5 and i don't like that, they should have been different.

Not diggin' the CF interior as well, i was expecting more and i'm eager to see it with alu trim or something else, 'cause like this i find it very boring. Seems they didn't bother for the interior that much and that sucks. Looking cheap from those pics? Yes, absolutely!

Exterior is the best part and there i have no complaints. Everything's as i was expecting and it's simply perfect. Although it would suit more for CSL version, it's great. Can only imagine how the real CSL will look...

Now, let's see how this best drive and i want it to justify all this waiting and excitement.;):t-drive:

Re: Official Information + Images: BMW M3 V8

Next up is the BMW M3 Cabrio to be announced in October and although you fret about weight - A lot of the weight has been severely reduced.
Shooting will take place in Scotland - A fantastic road with lots of curves and fantastic scenery called A816. Valencia, Spain and Cape Town, South Africa.

I know the purist don't want to see such a car, but for me this will likely replace the M6 Cabrio as the ultimate BMW for me. I have come to really admire the 3-Series cabrio design so I can only imagine what the M look will do to it!

Wide range of customisation within the interior
The new BMW M3 is available in three exclusive equipment and trim variants
differing significantly from the “regular” BMW 3 Series Coupé in their material,
colour and finish. The sporting, “basic” trim is a combination of cloth
and leather called “Speed”. Newly developed, fully tanned Novillo leather then
comes as an option offering a particularly smooth and velvety surface
in elegant and sporting style. Apart from classic Black, Novillo leather is also
available in Palladium Silver, Bamboo Beige, and Fox Red.
As a further option, Novillo leather can be extended to the lower section of the instrument panel, the cover on the glove compartment, and the side covers on the centre console. Four exclusive trim strips extending throughout the entire width of the dashboard beneath the Control Display and instrument cluster, provide further
options in customising the new BMW M3. The “basic” trim comes in Titanium
Shadow, with Aluminium Shadow and special leather tanned in carbon design
as well as high-class wood in fine-grain surface design and platane wood in
Anthracite all being available as an option. In each case, the trim strip gives the interior of the new BMW M3 its own very special touch ranging from cool
high-tech to sporting elegance.

This is sweet and I think I would choose this over alu. It looks nice and exclusive:

Re: Official Information + Images: BMW M3 V8

there are 4 other interior options to choose between, bmw also offer 4 different seatmodels. So what you see on those pics isnt the one and only combination.

Also I dont know what kind of interior people expected, as tradition shows, not much differs from "lower" version of the 3-series.

No, you misread the press release. Not 4 different seats, seats for four persons. :t-cheers:

Re: Official Information + Images: BMW M3 V8

Great news about the interiors. The Anti-Toyota strikes again with great custom options as opposed to the one-trim-fits all ethic from Japan.

So that explains the stitching on the 'carbon fibre'... I agree with Tyc, it looks weird to me. :eusa_doh:

Tyc, I don't remember your 535d in blue... :D

Re: Official Information + Images: BMW M3 V8

Btw, Just_me, how come you still didn't dig up high res pics of car in white? I want some new wallpapers you know...:D

HUH, that's surprising. I've been seeing 525i's with Interlagos Blue! Or maybe it's a lookalike blue... :t-cheers:

Nope, you didn't see that color on regular E60 (non M). What you saw is probably Monaco Blue, Orient Blue or Mystic Blue...;) I think that Monaco Blue ain't available anymore...

Re: Official Information + Images: BMW M3 V8

so far the alu interior sucks.. and the CF interior is a joke..
go and look at CF on the zonda..or the CL65..thats the way its supposed to looks..not like plastic imitating CF..

so now my hopes are for the last trimms of wood.. im sure there will be a black wood option in there..wich will please me..:D

Yeah, the CF on the zonda and the CL65, how much are these? :eusa_doh:
You can get a real CF trim as extra equipment, 1.220,30 € in Germany.

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
