I'm very very impressed with what BMW are doing with thier SUV designs the X1 is good looking and the X3 is great looking . It's really shaping up well for the X2,X4,X5 and X7. Top notch stuff, kudos to the design team!

That front bumper is seriously messed up to the point where it ruins the entire front.
Initial impression, hope it'll change.

At least we can put an end to the halogen rear light nonsense from the spy pic thread @maragulon

Now where's the interior? I saw a glimpse in that movie and it looked very G30ish...

Well the rear pretty much is an X1. Not as original as I hoped it'd be, considering this speak of a design change for the X line. I guess it will be more gradual from tame (but pretty) X1 to more radical X7...

Interior is predictable and nicely done. I think the rear looks much less cheap than the last-gen too.

Interior is perfect, first of all its perceived quality is a million times better than the old 1-3-x3 interior, and second some old x5 suv touches makes it stand out.

I disagree the front end is mich better than I had hoped , the faux metal pieces make the front bumper for me very purposeful design for the M40i X3.

I dislike it sadly. The rest is pretty decent but not overly impressive. Right now I think *gasp* both the GLC and Q5 look better.
I'll wait for some real life pics and actual real life encounters to form an opinion.
