C-Class W206 [Official] Mercedes Benz C-Class (W206)
The Mercedes-Benz C-Class (W206) is the fifth generation of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class which is produced by Mercedes-Benz Group AG since 2021. It replaces the W205 C-Class which had been produced since 2014. The fifth-generation C-Class is available in sedan (W206), station wagon/estate (S206), and long-wheelbase sedan (V206) body styles. The W206 C-Class is based on the Mercedes MRA II rear-wheel drive modular platform also used by the W223 S-Class.

The C-Class is significantly better than the 330e Touring in terms of comfort. It's a bit of an unfair comparison though, because the 3 Series, being a PHEV, is significantly heavier than the C-Class, so I assume the suspension is beefed-up even beyong the normal M Sport settings. The 330e is also on run-flat tyres, where as the C-Class isn't, so that explains the big disparity in quality of ride. The 330e does have adaptive suspension, however, where as the C-Class doesn't.
The 330e is sporty, but the harshness of the ride takes away from it, and at 1,905kg, it never feels "truly" sporty. The C-Class has the best balance of sportiness and comfort, more so than some very expensive cars I've driven. It's quite special.

Here's the data I have after exactly two years of ownership:
Total mileage: 17,160 miles (27,617 km)
Of which is pure electric mode: 8,929.5 km (32.3%)
Hybrid mode mpg: 59.0 mpg (UK)
Pure electric mode: 25.7 kWh/100km (3.89 km/kWh), (2.42 miles/kWh)
Pretty impressive figures for a 1.9ton car. Do you use electric mode mostly in town/city driving and then hybrid/engine on the highway? 59MPG is excellent consumption for the engine.

Purely for comparison purposes, my 320d is averaging 5.9 l/100 km (47.87 UK MPG) for its term of ownership with me. 80 - 90% of the time it's driven in Eco Slow mode with sail/coast mode active. Mixed use cycle.

Yes, electric mode covers me for all local journeys, such as to and from work, trips to IKEA etc. The most range I've had on pure BEV is 65.9km in the summer. In winter that reduces by around 20%. The only time I use ICE is when I'm on a long, trans-European journeys like the one I'm on now. For me, a PHEV is the best of both worlds.
That's good for mixed use. I imagine cruising on the motorway at around 110-120 km/h, you'll be seeing around 60 mpg.
I've been building up some data for my new and improved "Standard Fuel Test" before I post it. I have a new route (a 467 km loop around the Netherlands), and it's even more accurate than before. I check the weather and windspeed in four separate locations, and if any of them are outside of my strict parameters, I cancel the test. I check tyre pressures. I check for anything like roadworks before setting off, and if there is anything unexpected that could affect the test, I cancel it.
The cars I have logged are:
Audi A6 Avant 35 TDI (C8)
Audi R8 V10
BMW 318i Saloon (F30)
BMW 330e Touring (G21)
BMW X5 xDrive30d (G05)
I'm going to include electric cars also, and I will be doing the test in my Taycan which I'll be collecting in just over one week. So I'll add that to the data before long, and also my C-Class, eventually, once it's been driven a few thousand miles to get the engine loosened up. I've noticed the fuel economy significantly improves after around 10,000km, from my experience anyway.

I just want to make it clear, as maybe there's some confusion. The 59.0 mpg in hybrid mode, is for the lifetime of the car, and includes charging. Sometimes I will drive hundreds of km in purely electric mode, in which case the mpg for that tank of fuel will give me over 100 mpg. I don't add the cost of the charging because I have solar panels, and it's essentially free.
My last fill-up where I'd driven a significant distance between putting fuel in the car was 1,492 km driven in total, of which 942.3 km were in electric mode. This gave an mpg figure of 121.9 mpg (2.32 l/100km).
I also have seprate figures for the fuel economy based on one tank of fuel and only *one* charge for that tank of fuel. The latest figures for that was a total drive of 468.4 km, of which 41.7 km were in electric mode, and it returned 49.0 mpg overall (5.76 l/100km).
Finally, I also have figures for the car *purely* in hybrid mode, but without having any charge in the car to start with. The car obviously regens some charge back into the battery when braking etc, and that stands at 40.6 mpg (6.96 l/100km) over a distance of 4,521.4 km.

It's doing great. No issues at all. Servicing is every two years, and they alternate between a minor one and major one each time. It's just had a big one, and that was around €1,600. Insurance is very reasonable at €44 per month. The GPS tracking service for the alarm is €260 per year, and I have to have it checked every year, which costs around €90. Other than the fuel, they're the only running costs I have. I don't even pay road tax.

It's the highest award the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety can bestow this year.
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has granted the 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class the Top Safety Pick+ award – the highest commendation from the independent, nonprofit scientific organization.
According to the IIHS, the redesigned Mercedes C-Class has met all the requirements for the highest award with two variations of headlights and two different front crash prevention systems available.
The IIHS gave the C-Class' standard static LED headlights a good rating. However, the optional curve-adaptive headlights, supplied with the Digital Light Package, are rated acceptable. To get the highest honor, Good or Acceptable ratings should be available across the range.
To get a Top Safety Pick award from the IIHS this year, the agency said that the vehicle should earn Good ratings in six crashworthiness evaluations. These crash tests include driver-side small overlap front, passenger-side small overlap front, moderate overlap front, original side, roof strength, and head restraint tests. The car should also have an Advanced or Superior front crash prevention system in both the vehicle-to-vehicle and daytime vehicle-to-pedestrian evaluations.
On that note, the C-Class' standard Active Brake Assist front crash prevention system received a Superior rating in the vehicle-to-vehicle evaluation and an advanced rating in the daytime vehicle-to-pedestrian evaluation. Meanwhile, the optional Active Brake Assist with Cross-Traffic Function earns Superior ratings in both tests.
