Good detective work, Mick…!Because you didn’t spec anything; not the steering wheel and not the conscious choice for the absence of HUD. You probably bought a used, second hand car. Nothing wrong with that, but you pretend otherwise.
Indeed, no need to discuss this any further.

In the third and fourth paragraph of this post he said things like "I have chosen for the steering wheel the same dark leather color as used on the upper side of the instrument panel" and "I ordered no heads up display, so no dark box behind the steering wheel, no dark box reflections in the windscreen." https://www.germancarforum.com/threads/mercedes-benz-s-class-w223.60931/page-210#post-1550918Remind me where he said it is new and he specced it himself? I don't see that anywhere.
Don't be a hater because his car looks better than your's![]()

Busted by dear @Mick Briesgau. Perhaps this was all just a translation to English issue? Pretty car regardless.
Apparently a lot of road noise and harsh ride. Was this the case with the prior model too (being a lot harsher and louder than the base v8)?
Still in 2024? Surely the tire tech is significantly better than what it was in 2005 ish when they were first introduced?Run flats ruin the ride of the S-Class.
Run flats ruin the ride of the S-Class.
My W223 was fitted with 19inch AMG Rims and Pirelli tyres. Both our W222 and W223 came fitted with Bridgestone Potenza runflats with the sound deadening foam inside.
My W223 was fitted with 19inch AMG Rims and Pirelli tyres.
I changed to 20inch MayBach rims and the described Bridgestone Potenza MO tires.
I was expecting a more compromised ride, due to less rubber between alloy wheel and road , but to my surprise the comfort of the ride quality has increased, the car runs even quieter, which is recognized specially on low inner city speed .
Awesome spec on this S63

Absolutely stunning! If you're willing to take a resale risk, the s class is available with some beautiful combinations.
Here in Australia we get a choice of red, black or beige.
In fact you can't even order an S class at the moment.
