Taycan [Official] Porsche Taycan

The Porsche Taycan is a battery electric luxury sports sedan and shooting brake car produced by Porsche.
Ha, only if you could see the morning school drop off line - Model Y, Model Y, Model Y, Model 3, Me in a BMW, Model Y, Model X, Model Y, Model Y...

LOL, it's even maybe 'worse' over here.
The plus is we actually have chargers everywhere, so they can nicely disperse to wherever.

Model 3 is def way more popular over here though, Model 3, Model 3, VW Polo, Model 3, Model Y, Model 3, Model 3, Model Y, VW Golf

I am of the opposite opinion - I found it hard to justify a Taycan, not because it is not an awesome car, but because if I was going to spend Porsche money - I would hold off for a special one (not Panamera either).

But if I was in the market for a daily beater to get from A to B, it would take insane amount of non-common sense to not get a Model 3/Y at this point. My favorite one being - phobia of being stuck in a parking lot for eternity cause you can't find yours among the sea of 3s and Ys there.

I just can't get into Teslas. They just seem like electrical appliances. Completely and utterly dull to look at.

And that's before we get into Elon Musk. I could not bring myself to give him any money. I'm completely against his politics.

Yea, the politics doesn't make it easy.

I spent last week in Rotterdam, I really didn't notice vast numbers of electric cars, I had the impression the Netherlands was like Norway with BEV's as far as the eye could see.

I did see the street side chargers, it's a good idea, we don't have those in Norway. I guess its a necessity if you have to park on the street.

Looks like about 515,000 out of 8.3 million. So, maybe 7 cars out of every 100 are BEV's in the Netherlands, versus ~21 cars out of every 100 in Norway.

From my own (non-scientific) observations, it certainly seems a higher proportion than that. I wonder if there's some reason, such as older ICE cars may be in the "system", but not actively being used as much as BEVs, which by their nature will be new and not stuck in a barn somewhere.

It's the case in the UK that BEVs have an average higher mileage, so the chance of seeing one here at least, is possibly proportionally higher, but I'd imagine the overwhelming reason is geographic distribution based on economic factors. I won't be able to find the stats now, but I recall reading the number of Tesla's in the South East of the UK is 20 times higher than the North West.

I also suspect there's a bit of frequency illusion going on. I reckon most people can give a good approximation of how many of a specific vehicle they see everyday (because you notice them once you're looking for them), but I'd bet they seriously underestimate the total number of cars they actually glance at.

Whilst out on a little jaunt you could say I came across this Porsche Taycan just parked up. Now I've seen enough of them but not this close up.

All I can say is what an absolutely stunning car. Pictures don't do these cars ANY justice really. Seriously impressive.

The only think I wouldn't do, is tint the rear glass area.🙂

I love the side view on this car, clean and better that Panamera for me.
