Evoque [Renders] 2017 Range Rover Grand Evoque

The Land Rover Range Rover Evoque, also known as the Range Rover Evoque or the Land Rover Evoque, is a subcompact luxury crossover SUV developed and produced by Jaguar Land Rover. The first generation Evoque was produced from July 2011 until 2018 in three and five-door versions, with both two-wheel and four-wheel drive. The second generation of the car went into production in 2018.

Autobild is reporting that RR is working on a 7 seat version of the Evoque to close the niche to the Range Rover Sport.

Honestly... That makes zero sense. The whole point of the evoque was to be the mini Range Rover for those who couldn't afford a sport or full-size Range Rover. To make a bigger evoque is virtually akin to making another Range Rover. What is the price going to be? If it's going to a few thousands more than a base sport, you might as well buy the sport. What is the point of the lr4 then? Just the big ugly stepsister that no ones wants to date but only use? If the only reason they're making it is for the seven seats, I hope it's going to big and not ugly, and the seats comfortable.

I think you'll find this actually made sense and we can see what a fantastic looking vehicle JLR designed to fill the gap in the range, the Velar is this car made real.

A larger Evoque would be welcomed by many who find the Evoque to be too small and the spacious Land Rovers not cool enough. One can argue that the F-Pace is a good alternative but Range Rover is such a strong brand that to some, there are few alternatives.

Did you miss the Velar Centurion, it's basically the Grand Evogue but on a much better platform.

True. It is and it's starting price will be within reach for customers of heavily specced Evoques. with that being said, a large evoque will indeed be redundant.

Hmm. I think the two Discovery models fulfils the need for a seven seat capability. With the Grand Evoque eventually morphing into the Velar. Which was not bad a thing when you think about it?
I wonder what they will do next... A Range Rover Sedan? Or Coupe?
Do you think a Range Rover SAC would work?
