Cadillac CT6 [Spy Shots] Cadillac CT6 Spy Pics & Info

The Cadillac CT6 (short for Cadillac Touring 6) is a full-size luxury car manufactured by Cadillac between 2016 and 2020 over two generations. The first generation CT6 was introduced at the 2015 New York International Auto Show and went on sale in the U.S. in March 2016. It is the first car to adopt the brand's revised naming strategy, as well as the first rear-wheel drive full-size Cadillac sedan since the Fleetwood was discontinued in 1996. In 2020, the CT6 was discontinued in the United States, to be replaced by the forthcoming Cadillac Celestiq liftback sedan.
I cannot wait to see this car! A modern, full size, RWD Cadillac. This has been 30 years in the making.

Cadillac introduces their new twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 engine, will debut in the CT6
Produces approximately 400 bhp (298 kW) and 400 lb-ft (543 Nm) of torque

Cadillac has introduced their new twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 engine.

Set to debut in the 2016 CT6, the engine produces approximately 400 bhp (298 kW) and 400 lb-ft (543 Nm) of torque. It will be connected exclusively to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Cadillac says the engine is one of the "most power-dense V-6 DOHC engines in the world" as it produces 133 bhp (99 kW) per liter. The company went on to say engine is far more powerful than the supercharged 3.0-liter V6 that resides in the Audi A7 as well as the twin-turbo 3.0-liter engine that powers the BMW 740Li.

Besides offering V8 levels of performance, the engine has start/stop technology and a cylinder deactivation system which temporarily deactivates two cylinders when maximum performance isn't required. Cadillac says this should improve fuel efficiency approximately six percent.

The twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 engine will go into production later this year at the Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly Plant in Michigan. It will eventually be followed by a "new version" of the company's naturally aspirated 3.6-liter V6.

Debuts in New York
Cadillac has announced the 2016 CT6 will be offered with the "most advanced and highest-performing automotive sound system" ever developed by Bose.

Designed specifically for the range-topping model, the Bose Panaray sound system has 34 speakers that are strategically positioned throughout the interior. The system also uses the company's proprietary digital signal processing technology to deliver "more clarity, precision and deep bass than any system preceding it."

According to Cadillac CT6 executive chief engineer Travis Hester, "Cadillac CT6 customers will be elated by what they hear and feel when they switch on the Bose Panaray system.” He also stated the system will deliver an "audio experience unmatched in any other luxury automobile."

So the moniker "CT6" is confirmed for a longer time I want to submit if a Mod could change the title of this thread.
Thanks in advance! :)

Another question in referred to titles: would it be possible that an user who created a thread get the possibility to change the title about the whole time a thread is open?
Or would this be involved with disadvantages in any way?

That's....that's alot of speakers.

The only thing I can make out from the "interior pic" is that the seat controls are on the door, a la M-B.

I hope they have looked at the ergonomics , Cadillac have some of the worst .The switchgear on the console difficult to operate as although you touch it sometimes you have to make sure you have touched it properly because of the delay.

Now that's a proper look without all the random edges they were so found of.
