X3/X4 [Spyshots] BMW iX4 2026 (NA7)

The BMW X3 is an SUV manufactured by BMW since 2003, based on the BMW 3 Series platform. Now in its fourth generation, BMW markets the car as a Sports Activity Vehicle, the company's proprietary descriptor for its X-line luxury vehicles. The BMW X4 is a compact luxury crossover SUV manufactured by BMW since 2014. The X4 is widely considered as a "coupé" version of the X3, trading its practicality with a sloping rear roof which offers a sportier styling. BMW has indicated 2025 will be the X4's final model year.

The ix4 will surely look great...but it is the i3 sedan and perhaps...hopefully...an i4 series of derivatives that will be most exciting.

Anyhow, for me it's so pleasing to see BMW AG firing on all cylinders (ahem...electrodes) once again.

The iX4 is going to look fantastic this time round. The more vertical front and door sculpturing seems to flow better with that rear end than in previous models. I would still choose the iX3 over this, but at least the iX4 for this generation will give more people the keen eye.

I reckon BMW’s wrapping paper budget is bigger than Santa’s, judging by that parking lot.
They have turned it into clothing.

Does the automotive industry really need this class? There's no car shape that looks as ridiculous as the coupe SUV class.

Completely agree, I was hoping that the diversity of different body shapes was a thing of the past, especially coupe SUV's the most pointless of all body styles .

There's no need to ask; you only have to see their success on the streets. As I mentioned, they're a haven for former coupe buyers who, like the rest of the market, are increasingly opting for the practicality of four-door SUVs with a sportier aesthetic.

I'm a big supporter of diverse automotive design and alternative forms that enrich the landscape for enthusiasts.

Just look at the X2/iX2, which is far more successful in sales than its predecessor ever was.

I've looked at it enough and decided it's the worst looking BMW. Is this what old coupe buyers really want?

Yes, it's looking uglier with the minute. I too can't stand coupe SUVs anymore. But they're popular particularly among these new age EV people who all like weird shaped crossovers....

Weird question for someone who posts sales data non stop.

(the answer is yes)

Old coupe buyers are 70+ now. They're about to order a wheelchair rather than a car.

LOL !

Haven't you heard ?: 70 is the New 50.

Of course, only if you refuse to let yourself go. It's a choice. Physical activity, good diet, keeping the mind busy with interesting topics...these are key.

Leylandi loved 4-door coupes because the class was created by Mercedes. However, he doesn't like coupe SUVs at all because the class was created by BMW. If the first model of this class had also come from Mercedes, Leylandi would have loved it too. :)

Hmm. The outline here

Suggests a much more dynamic gradient that renders propose. If this works for the iX4? Then X6 will be similar with a stretched wheelbase and a more dynamic gradient will look even more sportier.
