Z Series 2023 BMW Z4 Coupe Concept!

The BMW Z models are a line of roadsters manufactured by German automaker BMW. The Z stands for Zukunft (German for future), and has been produced in four different series with six generations consisting of roadster, coupé, sports car, and concept variants. The introduction of the M Coupé and M Roadster in the Z3 line marked the first of the Z series to have a high-performance BMW M variant. The first generation Z4 also continued to offer M Coupé and M Roadster variants. The current Z4 (G29) uses BMW's (B58B30) inline-six, its platform is the basis for the current Toyota Supra.

Nice foto.

Give it the M2 or M3 drivetrain with a manual.
Let M tune the chassis and use parts from the M2/3.
Don't change anything on the exterior (unlikely) and just put it into production (no limited BS).
Price it about the same money as a base M4.
... or just build it with any B58 and let Alpina do its magic. It already comes with Alpina wheels anyway.

It's a nice idea, but I just don't seem to think there's even demand from a thousand buyers for this type of car... unless the badge has a shield with a black horsey on it that hails from either Zuffenhausen or Maranello.

Depends how they price it really. They'd easily sell 1000 of them if it was essentially just a Z4 M40i Coupe and priced as such, but limiting it will allow them to jack the price up, the question is does that then rule it our for too many buyers. Genuinely adding value by having some properly bespoke options could help... but it'll still look like a fancy Z4 sDrive20i that likely won't outperform an M40i.

I'm not a massive fan of it, but I hope they make it.

People keep saying that, but anything other than a cursory glance shows they're very different to Alpina's Dynamic style wheels...

They're more like the 863M's with a couple of filler spokes in each 'Y', IMHO.

Having said all that, if this was the kind of product that is exclusively branded as Alpina in the future, I'd be okay with that.

It can be one of several simultaneous uses for the Alpina brand, these and other things at the same time.
The wheels are even better than the Alpina, and they are perfect for that Z4, they fit just right.

What I loved was the speed with which it went from "one-off" to a production of at least 1,000, I had never seen that in two days after it was presented, the reception pushed so much, social networks sometimes also have a lot to do

Remember there was some rumours about a Cayman shooting brake back in the mid-2000’s?

Yeah, I hear you. To me they are a mix of both and more of a modern take on Alpina's classic design mixed with the latest from BMW.
What matters is they look amazing.
Like you I wouldn't mind it one bit if this was exclusively launched as an Alpina. In fact I'd love it even more.

On the one hand it's great, on the other it's a shame to think that one of these beauties will hardly be accessible, I suppose the Z3 coupe will continue to be the option

"In Munich, there’s a buzz going around about the potential production of the BMW Z4 Touring Coupe. Building on the inspiration from the Concept Touring Coupe unveiled earlier this year."

"The BMW Z4 Touring Coupe is slated to be an extremely exclusive model, commanding an astonishing price tag of approximately 300,000 euros. 50 units are rumored for German customers, but unknown whether other markets will get a shot at this special edition model."

Z4 shooting brake at the price of a V12 Shootingbrake Aston Martin Zagato?

Where do I sign up? I can’t wait for the hypercar market to crash. Way too many super/hyper/one-offs are being launched every month.

Poltrona Frau made the inside of the concept. Luggages of the Touring coupe concept were made by Schedoni. I could have had a connection with Poltrona Frau, but contracts signed between BMW and Poltrona Frau made the connection impossible. Which is logical. I have no connection with Schedoni, so I worked with a local guy who made the 2 bags by hand. The luggages are inspired from those unveiled with the concept, size, proportions, materials used (only leather no textile), and a few design details aren't the same.
