1 Series BMW (F40) 1 Series Hatch - from Leaked to Official

The BMW 1 Series is a range of subcompact executive cars (C-segment) manufactured by BMW since 2004. Positioned as the entry-level model in BMW range of products, the first generation was produced in hatchback, coupé and convertible body styles.
I’ll admit that when the previous Golf R and S3 I mocked them for having quad on a 2.0l but they backed it up by having good performance….those cars having 4 pipes is a non issue now.

I just hope this 1series will have the performance to back it up …the Golf R is the gold standard.

Hm. I don't even know, whether I'll have an issue with BMWs decision to come up with a 4 pipe inflation throughout their model lines ...
What puzzles me: What does that mean for the real M cars? Will they fly more under the radar in the future or does BMW come up with a new gaudy feature to further separate real Ms from the rest. Maybe I will have an issue then.

Most, if not all new M Performance cars will get quad pipes.
On the X3, Msport trim now has the trapezoidal exhaust tips that were previously only featured on the M40 models with 4cylinder variants rocking dual round exhausts.

But you're exactly the demographic car manufacturers are doing this crap for. People who sit in their bedrooms and get their opinions from what other people have said on YouTube, and without seemingly having one ounce of real-world experience of their own. Four exhausts is more than two exhausts, so it's better, right?

In my day, you decided which car was the fastest by whether it had a rear spoiler, front fog lights, and by looking through the driver's window to see how high the speedometer went. The difference is I was 11-years-old.

Aggressive looks e.g sports kits, fancy alloys and bossy exhaust pipes sell cars. Those cosmetic differences are more likely to get a buyer to sign the dotted line than €2,000 worth of chassis or driver convenience options.

If it is all new. Why didn't they implement the new door handles which 2 AT and imminent X1 have? Still think it's an LCI.

The front is new, you can see it's longer. Must be an extensive technical facelift, and so much so they'll call it a new model.

At this point I think between the camo, and differences in camera position and focal length, there's not enough visual evidence to guarantee this.

Duh... Looks like the same car but certain details appear to change more than what you would expect from a FL...

I do think the F40 is a great product. With NK comming in 2025, the best thing would be to FL all current products and make sure a real change comes in with the new platform.

The 2er is a bit late to the party, but cars like the next 3er and 4er with the new platform have a lot of potential IMO.

São Paulo Yellow is becoming more popular now on many models.
Here is an M5 Competition in São Paulo Yellow.

Since they mention it, those who arrive and those who don't at the Neue klasse party, I'm a bit intrigued by the thin timeline, things like:

We know about the i7/7
We know about the i4/4
The i5 I guess goes with the same platform as the i7 (because of its development start date) but I'm not sure.....
The iX1 goes with the current one but the new iX3 and the iX7 for example? Its development has just begun, they have just received their facelift and will the new ones come out by 2025 (+ -) Will they be the same as the i7 or will they already be developed with the new one?

The only one I'm sure of is the 3 series
