There are three proposals with Toyota for product outline as well as the technology partnership.
The first is the Z replacement, the second is not finalised or confirmed but the third is related to the MINI to share in a suitable architecture one that will allow for full electrification for the Citi-MINI i.e. the Rocketman.

As a company and indeed a business we talk to many throughout the industry.
Just because we talk to them does not mean we make a deal with them.
But we have spoken to a few sports car manufacturers to project certain discussion on which could be shared or indeed be a beneficial proposal.

Even if they show it at the IAA in 2020 i wont belive it until i touch it and lick it.
They have fooled us for nearly a decade now with these BMW supercars

Well we have the BMW M2 upcoming in just a couple of weeks followed by the BMW M4 GTS and then in 2016 we will show a concept that uses the ideas from the BMW CSL Hommage Concept carried over to a production car.
As well as upcoming news on the all new Z car.
So we are doing alright with no Supercar as we have Supercar innovation and technology at a fraction of the price for our M Division and of course the BMW i8 progressive sports car.

Imagine this in the M4 with the already entire top sections of the car bonnet,hood,trunk and rear spoiler already fabricated of CFRP for the M4 GTS carried over with other additional CFRP areas.
Will make for one serious car.

If BMW have all the technology and innovation for a supercar, the answer is to PRODUCE a supercar instead of putting it on cars which sell for a "fraction of the price"!!

It's insane.

So it's back to nudging the competition like always I wanted to see an R8 / AMG GTS / 911 Turbo killer, but I guess not...

So what? Are M boss words meant to mean the only thing bigger than the i8 would come after the i8 gets a refresh?

Maybe the next i8 is more hardcore, but that would mean no specific M supercar.
