Official Thread BMW Vision Neue Klasse

That just would make the car longer and bigger for no reason. Giving an EV car ICE proportions is dumb IMO. The classic BMW proportions came out of necessity, long I6 and RWD, form followed function.
It wouldn’t make it any longer. Just pushed the A-pillar backwards.

You can see the difference clearly

I would assume moving the windshield back like that would mean the drivers seat would also have to be moved back by that amount resulting in a longer car.

Tiny detail makes a huge difference.
This is the same thing that makes the EQ cars look so awkward. The cab-forward greenhouse for aero purposes.
You can make cab forward look great.

The Model S and Lucid Air are both cab forward and look better than most other modern sedans IMO. Giving either of those cars an artificially long hood would have been dumb.

Yes, but neither of those cars are styled the way this is. I'm not saying it's impossible to make cab forward look good, just that it's hard without it looking rather homogenous. The Lucid Air looks very similar to the Model S. And neither of them are "stunningly good looking". They just look decent.

No this is the 3er. That was the i3. Both 3er and i3 will have similar design elements. Think the new MINI Electric and the MINI ICE.
While I prefer the Mini Electric design now over the ICE, it’s the opposite with NA0/G50. I just dig the long hood of the ICE but curious how the final products will compare.
