M3/M4 Leaked - BMW M3 Touring

The BMW M3 is a high-performance version of the BMW 3 Series, developed by BMW's in-house motorsport division, BMW M GmbH. M3 models have been produced for every generation of 3 Series since the E30 M3 was introduced in 1986. The BMW M4 is a high-performance version of the BMW 4 Series automobile developed by BMW's motorsport division, BMW M, that has been built since 2014. As part of the renumbering that splits the coupé and convertible variants of the 3 Series into the 4 Series, the M4 replaced those variants of the BMW M3. Official website: BMW M
What are you even saying?
The RS6 comes with the eye-catching 22" wheels with all the available widenings, the black trim and fins, the exhausts the size of tunnels.

As the renders are generally exaggerated you won't see any difference between the RS6 render and the real car, thing that here with the M3 is obviously not like that render

It really gives the RS6 a dircet competitor, we dont know for sure but the M3 touring gonna sell like hot cakes
What are you smoking? No it doesn't. Just as my Lancer Evo never really competed directly with the Murcielago/360 Modena, both of which it could beat on track.

Sales and Marketing can confirm for you: M3 - RS4 - C63 in the compact category, while, M5 - RS6 - E63 in the midsize. Even in DTM - you have the coupe versions of these, i.e., RS5 competing v the M4 and C63. Weight and price are the differentiating factors.
Accomodation..yes and you will likely find the RS6 is a little better appointed inside too. And more comfortable over longer distances. Each to his/her own I guess and if it was my money, I'd opt for the M3.
And, you forgot to mention, looks. M3 will be beaten hands down in any category except blind.
I very much doubt that. But it sure was a surprise seeing this car being launched in black, I wasn't expecting that at all.
Why? Best way to disguise an eyesore IMO. It's so ugly I'm surprised it wasn't launched in Vanta Black :P

that‘s not the case anymore. In the dtm all cars are in the same class. R8, huracan, M4, amg gt, 488. same thing on the 24h Nürburgrin.

The M4 and the RS4 may be both produced in Bavaria but they are from different worlds. The M4 is just on another level, which could bring it in competition to the RS6.

The M3 Touring with xDrive should run the Audi pretty closely if not beat it if the M4 RWD does this. Irrespective though, the M3T and RS6 aren't in the same class even if the BMW can be quicker.

M xDrive has rendered quattro completely obsolete in one generation, it's as simple as that....

And RS4 and RS6 are both in their worst shape ever compared to their predecessors, so that doesn't help either.
Many new performance cars are AWD. However the RS6 and RS4 have a great reputation for being comfortable, easy to daily and wife proof. They may not be the most fierce cars but you can order either with confidence that the ride won't be harsh. The same is true for Porsche models.

It's still obsolete compared to Quattro in winter driving and light offroading, that I can tell you.

Let's not forget how many generations the BMW's models were left obsolete due to Audi's quattro system. Especially when it comes to rough terrain and roads.

Let's also not forget that Audi's models have always been in-between the BMW's and Mercedes-Benz's models as the "best of both worlds".

Are RS4 and RS6 in their worst shape today? Hell, yes. Time they come out with performance variants. Sadly I have a strange feeling the next-gen RS4 won't be that good, like the current one. Next RS6 is going fully EV, so there is that too.

As a previous 3er touring and M3 owner I can’t wait to see it in the flesh at the launch at Goodwood on Thursday. My first time.
Also a nice surprise turned up in the post this morning to accompany my ticket!

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
