The E55 AMG W211 is still one of my favorite Mercedes super saloons. That supercharged V8 is a monster of an engine.

Better be an E55. Those things are aging well and sought after.

That car in is totally standard spec, including the exact wheels and color, (men in black spec), I was dazzled to see it the first time and still does.

Must of missed this mate! We had a W210. I sometimes regret never getting one of these. Very nice!

The weather is almost perfect today, sunny dry and warm low 20 deg in winter. It was a good day to drive the W211 around town.

This rare moment actually happed a few months ago, while we were driving both E classes to service.

A mint condition E 55, also in silver, pulled up next to us. It was driven by a elderly gentleman. I could see he was grinning as he took off from the lights.

The W211 has aged extremely well. It still looks modern and elegant, and surprisingly, it looks a lot more compact than its real size suggests.
